  1. Thanks to the mod (whoever you are) that deleted my new transfer thread. Thought it was a good idea, but obviously you want to carry on with this one. Although there would have been no harm in my new one, which actually starts it afresh. So, well done! You'll probably delete this aswell, due to the fact that it is off topic. I just think that starting a transfer thread over again would have been a good idea, especially with all the rumours that are going to start coming out. Oh, and I'm still behind going for Bent. If we get him I'll be happy. And why not take a cheaky look at Malouda? If Carew came, then maybe we can get him. You never know!
  2. Clicky Not sure if this has been mentioned already but does anyone think we may be after him? he didnt set the premiership alight at man city but if he was cheap he would give us another option. i guess we dont have a player like him in the squad. as for Konchesky mentioned earlier....tribal football has a habit of predicting bollocks lets hope this is the case again! It's quite annoying the was people say Tribalfootball predicts things. Tribalfootball does not write the stories. All of the rumors on Tribalfootball are from different sources, such as newspapers. It is not Tribalfootball saying these things, so Tribalfotball doesn't predict bollocks. It is the various newspapers that predict bollocks.
  3. Viduka is actually quite a good shout, on a free. He is a quality forward, and would do a job as a squad player. Many of you have said that you want Moore and Gabby in the first team. Signing Viduka would allow that, but would be a qulity back-up. Yet, personally I feel that we would be better with Bent or Nugent, or even Defoe. One thing is for sure. We do need another forward, and a proven goalscorer at that. If we signed Viduka then I would be happy in a way, but also slightly disappointed. Either way, O'Neill knows what he is doing, and for now I trust any decision he makes, until he makes a bad one! Let's just hope that doesn't happen.
  4. Bent, Defoe, or even Owen (can't see this one, but you never know), would each be amazing signings. Just imagine our options upfront if we brought one of these players in. Carew, Agbonlahor, Moore, and ............... (fill in the blank with one of the three mentioned). Personally I'd prefer Bent, as he is a different sort of forward to the ones we already have, and I think he'd suit our team well. Although part of me thinks O'Neill may well go for Kamara (of West Brom), or someone that we haven't even mentioned. i think he'll have a few surprises up his sleeves.

  6. General, I am sure that somewhere earlier in this thread you mentioned the badge being shown sometime around the 3rd, 4th or 5th. Now you have just said that the badge will not be in the scarf on for the match on the 5th because it is way too early. So when exactly will the badge be viewable? Has something gone wrong in the process of design? I am just wondering, because I can not see any other reason for there being a change in the date of when the badge will be unveiled. Thanks for your time.
  7. I really hope we don't sign Bellamy. Sure, he is pacey and can finish. He is even a constant threat, and I do rate him as a footballer. Yet, he is a trouble causer. Maybe O'Neill could keep him calm, but even so, is it really worth the risk? Then there is the fact that he is the same sort of player as both Moore and Gabby (being that he is quick). I think we need someone a bit different. Plus, he's not really a proven goalcorer in my opinion. He may have a good record, but I just don't think he is proven as such. Who we should go for I do not know. If it was my choice though, then I'd go for another big player (in the mould of Carew). Just so we have options. In a dream world I would get Ibrahimovic. Yet, in reality, I think someone like Ashton would be good (not as big as Carew, but still a target type player). Perhaps even Nugent. True, they may not be deemed as proven goalscorers either, but they would add to what we have got. It would give us four quick forwards (Gabby, Moore, Maloney, Young - if you include him as a forward), and two big men (Carew and ..............). I just feel this is the way forward. How does anybody else feel?
  8. I've got a question about our sponsor (32Red). General, I was wondering if you could let us know which logo will be on the new Villa top. I dislike the one from this current season, and feel it is too big and plain. Is there any chance of having their better logo (the one on their website)? It looks better, and still stands out. Thanks for your time.
  9. I've had a long think about the players we could go after. This is now the list of players I think we should be looking at, and could posibly get. Not necessarily get them all, but take a look at the following: 1) Robbie Keane 2) Florent Malouda 3) Danny Murphy 4) Danny Gabbidon 5) James Milner I think that each of these players are possible for us to get, although Malouda may be a push. Yet, Carew and having a manager like O'Neill (plus the club itself) may be able to persuade him. Who knows? The rest should be possible to get with things the way they are. I would like to see better quality players, but I think we need to be in the Champions League before even thinking about that. Murphy might seem like a waste of time to some people, but he could be that creative midfielder we need for a season or two. Then once we get into the Europe, we can consider bringing in someone different (if need be). Gabbidon may also not seem like a great buy, but he is solid. He can play first team or act as back-up to Mellberg, Laursen and Cahill. Keane and Milner need no explanation. They are both top quality, and are likely targets. Although I do feel that even at the present time we could get a better right midfielder than Milner (such as Malouda are someone else).
