  1. Harmless banter thats all and Ashleydoes have a proper song. People need to listen and join in.
  2. Born and bred in Birmingham but when I lived with parents we came under Solihull council so can't agree Rev Not Chelmsley either
  3. I honestly believe Liverpool can be caught so I would like to keep them in sight. On the other hand I want distance between us and 6th so I'd be happy with a draw. Edited to say this derby is a joke though. How can you sit together?
  4. Maybe heart ruling head but I went with 4th. I can't see us dropping below 6th and I'm not suprised it's a tight call between 4th and 5th in this poll.
  5. No debt - just about coping. Not in any major financial trouble and can afford to go to away games so they will go first if things got worse.
  6. They are, Anichebe is leading the line pretty well and creating space for the midfield to exploit. But he really isn't a goalscorer at all. They would have to get a tremendous amount of goals from midfield if they're to survive this way, they'd need a couple of Frank Lampard esq seasons from Arteta and Cahill. Not impossible, but not an ideal situation either. I think they'll grab someone on loan. Yep they are doing remarkably well considering the lack of forward options but I just don't think it will last. You can't continue with Cahill and Arteta being your main goal threats and expect to remain in the top 5/6. I am sure they will, Everton are not as skint as they make out. They have spent a fair bit over the last few years on the likes of Johnson, Yakubu and Fellaini. He needs a striker and I'm certain he will get one of some discription in January.
  7. To be fair to Everton they are coping without a striker at the moment
  8. Sorry to hear of your loss General, condolences to you and your family. R.I.P
  9. I honestly don't think they will but as each game passes they obviously have more chance. I just expect Man Utd to go and reel off 7 or 8 wins on the spin and put a gap of 5 or 6 points betwwen them going into the final few games. Liverpool were impressive today but they have rode there luck a hell of a lot this season already.
  10. Not happy with what Barry did but he has been professional enough to keep turning in performances. NRC is no longer a regular so I would give it to Barry. He still gives everything in a Villa shirt like him or not.
  11. I don't want Doyle, he is going to help keep the shit down by firing Reading up Seriously though he is not a bad player and definitely a better player than Marlon. Would love to see a fit Dean Ashton but the one who could really fire us is Michael Owen. Not the best player on there but that boy knows where the net is.
  12. I will be there, more likely watch Marlon prove he is not good enough again. Give Delfonouso a chance if we take out Gabby or Carew.
  13. I am now in the first team on VT
  14. My mates sister used to live with Steve Bruce's daughter, who as we all know shagged Lee Hendrie. I have had his sister
  15. On Nigel Kennedy, he really is a top bloke General. Sat by him at Arsenal a few seasons ago and spoke to him. He has time for anyone who says hello and really loves the Villa. As for the Ryder Cup, its looking good for your lot at the moment. Still a long way to go though General.
  16. No need for me to write anything as this sums up how I feel.
  17. I was shocked he didnt start, Reo coker is not a right midfielder even though he tries hard.
  18. Bloody hell I wasn't around for this thread originally but it shows how far we have come.
  19. could not agree more and I loved Olly as well.
  20. I prefer MOTD2 as well but then I go for football first when I am in on a saturday night.
  21. At club level I know what you are getting at Trent but he is not the only one unfortunately. Bentley was right when he said to many players seemed to be concentrtating on the Champions league games for there clubs. Far from being the only one but until he produces the goods for England (he has only done it one IMO away in Germany in the 5-1) then he will just be another John Barnes. Just one game is a bit harsh but I agree with you to an extent mate. As I said though unfortunately he is not the only one. To many players for whatever reason don't do it for us at international level. Your right but I think the contrast between club and country form is worse with him than anyone else mate. One game may be harsh but I'm struggling to think of any other great performances by him. I would have Lampard and Rooney to name just 2 in that category as well. I love England and I can never understand the lack of pride that some of the players seem to have when wearing the shirt. I guess in all honesty it shows that we are not half as good as we think we are and our club sides are way ahead of our national side.
