  1. Serious recognition of this guys potential and his place in UE's plans. Look forward to seeing him progress.
  2. Through my work, I know Graham Potter's best mate (I don't know GP, so not an itk). When he was sacked, I heard plenty of stories about how far removed he was from any decision making. No one on the coaching staff had a clue what would happen with transfers from day to day. Circus of a club.

    Unai Emery

What does he mean by contrasting home and away from? That we win more at home...? Duh! For reference (by my very quick reckoning), our PL record under UE is as follows: Home: 10W, 1D, 3L Away: 7W, 3D, 4L That's quite impressive imo and amounts to roughly 24W, 5D and 9L (77pts) over a full season. I doubt that any other team achieving that record, would be assessed to have 'contrasting' home and away form.
  4. Can't recall ever seeing him play but fbref imply he's a white Leon Bailey...
  5. This interview and quote. You could read it as an "if we progress", but he probably means they are already working on depth. https://www.marca.com/futbol/premier-league/2023/08/05/64ce4374268e3ebe4d8b45b8.html
  6. The squad can still include players that don't need to be registered and if we continue to progress, that will be a better investment longer term with regards squad selection. I'd take money for Archer if it's there, in the same sort of deal as for Aaron Ramsey, and bring in a better option for our current needs. Supplement that with a talent like Kellyman who can play without pressure.
  7. Monchi implied in his recent interview that the next round of signings is dependent on qualifying for the ECL group stage.
  8. Double breakfast. My favourite meal of the day!
  9. I would say that way too few variables have gone into both of those predictions. The top 10 is very competitive. If I had to call it now, we have jumped Brentford, Brighton and Spurs, possibly Newcastle too. Liverpool, Chelsea and United have all strengthened creating viable competition for the top 4/5 spots. Citeh and Arsenal will still be the top two. Off topic, but I also see Wolves or Everton going down with both Sheff U and Luton.
  10. Is all this debate on the high line still on-going? League form since UE: 25 games; 15 wins, 4 draws, 6 losses, 40 GF 26 GA 11 of the goals against, came in a three game streak. We also had 9 clean sheets during the 25 games. A reminder, these stats include the transition period for UE to get his ideas across. We have added players that improve the spine of the team and that are likely to contribute to more goals scored and less conceded. The benefits of the high line are definitely worth the risk, as is trusting UE to do his thing.
  11. referring to my notes: Every player assumed fit and available I've shoehorned Chambers into backup RB because there is no one else (Revan?) that could play there right now. No real assumption made on CB as could be any two of four in any single game MC probably settled, depending on how SJM and JJ are rotated into those positions I have no idea how the final third would setup other than Watkins, I expect them to rotate depending on the opposition The advanced positions offer the most opportunity to improve, if; Coutinho doesn't make it if we sign a new FW Looking for constructive comments and not nitpicking on the selection... Thanks for reading
  12. My assessment of our 25, has us roughly here at the moment. 13. He'll be fresh legs in time for; Prem, ECL Group and League Cup congestion. He will be like a new signing and his absence should increase the competition amongst the incumbents.
  14. Maybe one or two sangria's have been dispensed
  15. According to Transfermarkt, there's still a chance he might go to Aston Villa
  16. £34.6m! So what we are saying is... there's money left to add even more talent.
  17. Top work as always @Beastmix Thanks for taking the time to run the rule over these changes.
