  1. I'm fairly certain that you'll beat my rag tag bunch, next week.
  2. Hasn't it always been pure luck? Just this year the luck is more evenly distributed. You have no control over the players performance and we've all left points on the bench. It is what it is. Admittedly, your season has been super unfortunate. Not seen one like it for a long while.
  3. This week is giving 'any given Sunday' vibes. It feels like anyone can beat anyone at the moment!
  4. Sorry, I didn't mean to seem like I was targeting your comment, more so referencing your point. So far as I can see, the league is well balanced. Seven of the 12 teams with the highest points scored, are separated by just 70 points. Aside from some teams falling foul of 'any given Sunday', the scoring seems to be resulting in a competitive league.
  5. I don't get this argument that the changes have had an impact. We've removed one position (flex RB) and made some decimal changes to PPR scoring. The same number of players still exist. Maybe we should blame the players performances before our own? Many, many players have underperformed this season, many others have exceeded expectations. Just one of those things that requires research and being on the ball with the waiver wire. If the changes are truly to blame, say why and provide the evidence, not just the feelings.
  6. Ha ha, oh yeah? Waiting to see if he plays first cause I'm not going to make a decision on 7 carries alone. But at least I could if I wanted to...
  7. Not everyone can say that they have the ability to play 3 RBs and that's where the imbalance is. Almost everyone can play 3 decent WRs. If you have 3 spots, some people draft 4 or 5 RBs and the gap is wider still. 2 spots and theoretically you could get by with 3 RBs; then there are enough for everyone. The alternative if going back to full flex, is to revisit the scoring for RBs (or all positions) as inferred by @Brumerican We are a 12 team league, if we want every team to be competitive, 2 RBs feels like a reasonable compromise.
  8. I would still pick Washington if given the chance to pick again
  9. I don't. There just aren't enough good RBs in the league to justify a third RB slot whereas there are more than enough pass catchers. The current setup requires a bit more skill.
  10. Good to see how close the league is so far this season. No runaway leaders, no one team truly adrift. The games are close. A lot will happen over the coming weeks, but it bodes well and is an acknowledgment that we may have finally got the scoring mechanism right.

    Unai Emery

Would love to be able to buck that trend. We've got a good one here, I hope we can keep him. I think we can.

    Unai Emery

The number of managers we've had over the past 40 years is alarming. No manager with more than 190 games (MO'N) in charge since Ron Saunders, Dean Smith the longest serving since M'ON with 138. Could Unai become the longest serving manager since Ron Saunders?
  13. I'm definitely going to go with the speed and movement of Achane as even against Buffalo, I think Miami will find a way. I think I am going to put Stevenson in for Robinson, but it's a tough call. NE play 31st ranked Dallas and Washington play 32nd ranked Philadelphia! Which of those two will have the best week?
  14. @NurembergVillan Not trying to catch you out here re: the above, but I am interested to know which of the mainstream brands actually do a good job across; design, quality, manufacture, distribution etc. There never seems to be one that gets it all right, but interested to know who you think does it well?
  15. Wasn't the Fanatics tie-up a consequence of years of poor distribution? It's been hard to find a Villa shirt outside of Birmingham for a number of years.
  16. Signing with Castore was a bad decision at the time and it's gone completely as expected. Founded in 2015 and capable of supplying sportswear to clubs and teams at the highest level of global sport, within five years. A rags to riches 'home grown' story maybe, but I wouldn't be surprised to find out that the success has been driven by lower costs courtesy of a dodgy supply chain, with their market position strengthened by the use of cheap and abundant fitness 'influencers' that are desperate for likes. It's hard to say which brand would be better as I'm sure they are all employing a similar model, but at least many of the established brands can also back it up with quality gear. Personally, I'd love to see a retro manufacturer like Umbro or Reebok; the 90's is back and so there is no better time to work with those brands.
  17. Ok, so I've had an unexpected awarding of Achane through waivers. Genuinely chanced it. Start or sit vs Buffalo? What would you do?
  18. It bodes well I say. It looks like it will be a tight league this year, everyone can beat anyone on their day. I'm 3-0, not sure I should be. Heck, Yahoo still predicts I will go 3-11 over the season
  19. 49ers already looking like they will represent the NFC in the Superbowl.
  20. Went in for Hunt on the waiver - Not sure how much play time he will get, I just hope he's still serviceable.
  21. @Tegis Suggestion for Week 3 - Minkah, what a Hunt!
  22. Nicholas Chubb is out for the season.
  23. D'Andre Swift WK1: 1 carry, 3 yards, on 20 snaps. Crowded backfield, clearly 3rd choice. Dropped. Wk2: 28 carries, 175 yards. FML
  24. Question: Is the trade block available in our version of the league? It's probably just me, but I can't seem to find it. Edit: Found it! It's now called trading list and you have to click 'edit' next to your own team.
