Could have gone either way, Daly was being shoved though. Russo looking dodgy again, she has struggled in my opinion.

Russo isn't good enough, her one goal came from some pretty horrendous goalkeeping. I think the decision to play her over the top goalscorer in the wsl will cost England.

  2. It's only now that I've actually allowed myself to watch a YouTube highlights video that I realise I've been pronouncing his name wrong for the last few weeks.

Is there a view of what the bowlers end umpire is doing at the time because I've heard it said that he's walking away, which would indicate he thinks it's dead regardless of whether he says over or not.

As @sharkyvilla says, he's unclipping the bowler's cap.

So the point was to get safe passage to Belarus then.

Don't think that was the point, I think he's essentially bottled it. If Shoigu stays then he looks even more ridiculous. Managed a solution which doesn't really solve anything and all parties look incredibly weak because of it.

If that was storm shadow, the "pothole" is only the entry wound, that will be the hole the missile made in its first stage to breach the fortification (in a traditional target) the larger explosion comes after the breach, in this case under the bridge and will hopefully have weakened the bridge supports, a far bigger problem to solve

As you predicted, looks like it's a bit more than just a pothole.

Inter went toe-to-toe with City for the whole match. If you replayed that 10 times, they'd win 5 of them. Great performance. They took Halaand out of the match, they took Grealish out of the match, they took de Bruyne out of the match before he was subbed. That was not an easy win for City.

As is often case, City needed just one moment to win. That it was their defensive midfielder who scored says something.

And as usual, Gundogan contributed to it. They didn't show it on the replay, but not long before the goal, he made the extra effort along the goal line to keep the ball in play when the defender was ready to let it ride out. That led to the goal soon after. He's just so good.

It will get lost because they won, but City were poor by their standards and frankly I'd say several premier league teams would have beaten them today. Inter showed plenty of heart and were well drilled defensively but they lacked any real quality. Dzeko, Lukaku and Martinez were all absolutely woeful.

You know what he has been awful all season a shadow of yhe player we all know, looks like he is carrying few more pounds than he used to, but but on free, still young, lose a few pounds & under Emery 🤔 I think we'd have a player again 👍

Thing that would worry me was that he seemed to be one who downed tools knowing he was off regardless.

Wondering if a club like Southampton or Leeds take a punt on him. I hope not as he’d be on a hiding to nothing.

Southampton will appoint Russell Martin and I can't see Leeds at all.

Think he needs to find a championship (or even league one) club with low expectations, get rid of Shakespeare and start all over again with more of a long term project.

  9. Agree he was very good again. Think whether he stays depends on whether the club can stomach his wages being spent on a rotation option and if they can't, whether we can find a team who will pay them.

It took nearly 3 minutes to give the penalty.

With Emi in nets there should be 10+ every week tbfh.

While I think 6 is fine (almost 8 in reality) if you compare it to the 3 minutes last week then it's laughable. Absolutely no consistency.

Am I right in saying that today they were given a free kick for offside and he allowed them to take it a few yards in our own half?

  11. I think Smith was always going to struggle there as quite simply he's not Daniel Farke. Read the Pinkun Forum for 5 minutes and you will realise how much affection the average Norwich fan still has for him and its understandable given he got them promoted twice. I just think that any new manager would have had to have had a really impressive start and I don't think the squad is good enough for that. Losing Buendia and Pukki being a shadow of the player he once was has essentially meant they needed to replace their 2 best players and the likes of Sara, Núñez, Sargent and Idah are just not up to the same standard.

Forget managers, Norwich need major changes in order to becoming regular mid-table championship also rans.

  12. I can imagine them persevering with Vardy, Shakespeare has a good relationship with him from his previous spell there and Smith was reluctant to keep Pukki out of the team at Norwich when he's clearly past his best.

  13. I thought Howe's comments after the.game were a bit odd. Clearly he's done a great job this season but can you imagine Emery saying that we would do the analysis of the game and then move on very quickly if we got smashed like that?

Every team they will play from now to the end of the season will be taking that performance and using it as a blueprint of how to beat them. If I was Howe I would be spending an awful lot of time going through that and making sure they can make the necessary adaptations.
