  1. Richards will never play again in my opinion, I don't think well keep De Laet either. Sell those there is probably a place somewhere for him....somewhere.
  2. Im not bothered if he played 20 odd Championship games for them. Medel is a crab, would offer us nothing Westwood doesn't.
  3. Dont think Noone is anything special myself. Mutch only turned 22 December just gone. Hes physically imposing, carries the ball forward well and seems to always find dangerous positions. I reckon hell be at a big club in the future. It'll annoy my Birmingham mates as well which is a bonus.
  4. Bizarre argument, it isnt Jordans fault if our manager picks him over some of our youth players for a bench spot, could be thathe does more in training, or any number of reasons, I honestly have no idea and nor do any of the rest of you. The loan will do Bowery good he needs games at his age and I hope he does well, like many others I see no real future for him at this club though. Loans can improve certain aspects of a players game but he doesnt look like ever having the technique to be a prem player.
  5. I'd like us to sign Jordan Mutch if Cardiff go down. Been very impressed with what ive seen and a realistic option who would improve us whilst fitting the ethos.
  6. We knew it'd be a long road but its been a frustrating couple of seasons, we shoot ourselves in the foot so much. We have a decent few weeks of fixtures coming up so I hope we can get on some kind of run for once, despite our scandalous transfer window,
  7. When has Herd had these stand out performances at RB? His best performances came in midfield under he who must not be named, he should have got player of the season that year over Stephen **** Ireland. Hes never had a go in midfield since which is strange because as limited as he is I think he'd be a better tackling mid than Sylla, and thats nothing against Sylla who I think does a job.
  8. Marin is on a season long loan at Seville.
  9. A cool 10m on a useless N'Zogbia and a 5 year deal for a geriatric goalkeeper did nought to improve things.
  10. Ah, so many raised hopes to be dashed, it'ld be nice though! I'll predict Ashley Young.
  11. It changes pretty quickly, but it's hard to see where his opportunity will come from. He's always been the one most talked about and he banged goals in at the development levels, represented England etc, if you'd asked me back then who'd have the chance of making it out of him and Andi it wouldn't have been Weimann. I've rarely ever been impressed when Nathans had a chance though, he's never took the bull by the horns and transferred the raw ability into a really good performance. That said, his loan stats don't phase me at all, Weimann/Agbonlahor and more have had rubbish loans and done just fine for Villa, as long as they're getting game time when they go on loan that's fine for me as far as our players go. He could still make the grade but it'll be tough and this is last chance saloon.
  12. Some people are really out of touch with reality if they believe Weimann is going to be offered within the regions of 50k a week. That simply will not happen and how has ANYTHING that's happened over the last few years made some of you think otherwise. Further to that, he doesn't warrant that figure regardless of this season (and believe me, I am a huge huge Weimann fan, I love the kid) but people are either just overexcited or just stupid. Liverpool ain't going to offer him 50k, nobody is, and let's not forget he owes us a bit as well, we've brought him up for a fair old while and he's been part of a good youth set up which teaches them the right way to play and does everything to see them afforded the opportunity to come through. I'd wager he knows all this himself, and I reckon he will have a lot of respect for both Villa and Lambert and will sign a new long term deal with the club assuming safety is sealed. I'm surprised at some people, we got ourselves into a real mess by giving players more money than they deserved, and it took not months but years to be rid of some of those leeches, obviously Weimann does not fall into the same category as these but with his young age and his inexperience people shouldn't be so quick in wishing us to hand out a 4 year 50k contract. We were all v.excited when Agbonlahor came through, good debut season and he was rewarded gradually. I have no problems top performer being paid top money but only after some consistency We've had so many flavour of the month players over the years, and whilst I am quite sure Weimann has a fine career ahead of him some of you would prob have some right shit on big long contracts based on not a whole lot.
  13. Huddlestone fit would walk into our side as others have said. He gets a bit of abuse but i've always rated him as a good player, he'd do well for us I think, and if it were him and it were a loan i'd imagine it'd be with a view to buy as I don't think he's got a future there. Livermore would never be to buy as he's a rated prospect.
  14. When is this irritating lump of shit going to **** off.
  15. Agree with both above posts mostly. Think on Lescott though, whilst I agree with the premise about learning from mistakes and running a club properly, there is a different between prudence and simple neglect, there are occasions where you need to accept you may make a loss in the long term, i'd say Lescott would be an acceptable example of this if we could get him, baring in mind also how much new revenue is about to flood the league from the most recent TV deal. I agree that in the main, your theory is the right one, and it's the one we'll adopt long term now and Lamberts pretty much said that in different words. Lescott is a good opportunity for us though if he's available and willing to join and I think we'd be mad to pass it up. Kjaer is a pipe dream for me (so is Lescott though!)
