  1. Why is an old lady's vagina like a pork-pie? Because in both cases you have to bite through the crust and suck out the jelly to get to the meat.
  2. I'd choose a). But then i don't have an ego the size of Siberia.
  3. Oh yes they can, Rob. Brian Little, John Gregory, Graham Taylor and Bruce Langham are all WRONG. Doug is great, Doug is wonderful, sing it from the rooftops, shout it loud enough and one day you'll start to believe it.
  4. You can't beat a full British Isles breakfast - whatever the time of day.
  5. Oh, you're obviously not a real fan then. I'm a bigger fan than you. Why do you even bother supporting Villa? blah, blah, blah...
  6. I will be too busy drinking a pint in the bar downstairs to care.
  7. Discussed extensively here.
  8. You'd never heard of Thierry Henry before he signed for Arsenal? What Wenger has turned him into is credit to them both, mind you.
  9. You have a point, actually. Apologies to anyone who was glued to this thread but i'm turning the key...
  10. OK, enough of that. Back on topic, please. Whatever's left of it.
  11. Is that your hand, Sir Robert? Anyway, i just thought i'd contribute to this completely farcical theory that all anti-£lie$ people are also whinging lefties. By default, i presume that makes all the apologists Telegraph-reading, fox-hunting, V-neck pullover-wearing toffs?
  12. I'm anti-£lie$ and a Fascist Bolshevik.
  13. Cow And Chicken & Stressed Eric were good also.
  14. I'm not happy with the amount of stick Lee gets. He may not be the greatest player in the world, but that's hardly his fault. I tell you what though, Lee is the one player in our squad who is guaranteed to be sweating buckets at the final whistle. He runs and runs and runs. He may not know where he is going or what to do when he gets there, but he puts in the effort and that counts for a lot in my book. We've missed him these last two games. So how about we give the orange, jug-eared little monkey boy a break, eh?
  15. OK, presuming we sign this Berson person and presuming we sign no other central midfielders, what would be your choice pairing in the middle of the park?
  16. I voted for Villa even though i disagree with the point behind the poll. We should not be comparing ourselves with small time teams. Teams that struggle to scrape together 30,000 fans every week and have won nothing of any significance in their less than illustrious histories. Reiziger/Melchiot better than Delaney? No. Parlour/Gronkjaer better than Solano? No. Gray better than Barry? No. Izzet better than Hitz? No. Viduka/Hasselbaink/Fat Arse/Forssell better than Angel/Vassell/Cole? No. We need to snap out of this habit of dragging ourselves down to this sort of level. We are Aston Villa for God's sakes. We have a quality team, a quality manager, a quality assistant, Laursen is a quality player, Cole is a quality player, but the bottom line is... ...WE NEED MORE OF THEM
  17. Alright, clever Dick, i've amended the subject accordingly.
  18. It's been a bit of a quiet day, so i thought this might cause an argument or two. I suppose it all comes down to value for money. Those that have already left the club may be easy to judge, but you must all consider the futures of those still here. And for that reason i've gone for Pele Crouchio. People say his loan spell at Norwich did him the world of good, and he has certainly looked a different player upon his return - and it's pretty clear O'Leary has played a major part in improving the confidence of the boy. The potential was always there (even if some couldn't (or simply refused) to see it), but he's now beginning to realise more and more of that. On top of this, he seems a diamond of a bloke, and i admire his commitment. He recently said "i've got plenty of years left in me, and i hope they're all here at Villa" - and therein (hopefully) lies the value for money. Unfortunately for El Pele, JPA & Vass have also been on top form recently, but at least we can now sleep easily if either of them should get injured, as we also have the Moore bros. pushing for a place in the team. At least we have healthy competition in one area of our squad. But who would you boys go for??? As much as i respect GT, i've got to say it's certainly not the greatest list in the world, and DOL has certainly proved to be the more astute in the transfer market, but i don't want this to turn into yet another GT vs. DOL debate, it's about the above players, so please make your choice and explain. Ta very much.
