  1. Hughes would be quality. This abstract quote typifies the man -
  2. Is GH staying? It is still unconfirmed IMO.
  3. I suspect we will hear more tomorrow about the manager's position.
  4. Yes, he said there is a few issues to iron out.
  5. He needs time to settle, he is quality IMO.
  6. I am not too bothered about having a "name"; we are at the stage where we need to have a long term plan with a manager, ideally somebody who can build something here and be successful in the future.
  7. You are being unfair on Hughes with that post. MH does have the ability to scour Europe for players, and he also proven that he can grab young British talent in the past. In terms of the transfer market he is very able to attract good quality with the budget he is likely to be given here.
  8. I'd say his signings of Tevez, De Jong and Kompany have built the spine of Man City. Agreed.
  9. If you look at his modest signings for City (Zabaleta and Kompany), they have established themselves amongst the big signatures at MCFC.
  10. Excellent post on Hughes, he is worth the gamble IMO.
  11. The General can promise all he likes, sure he's not even around when the shit hits the fan, i wouldn't say it's his fault tbh, I'd say it's coming down the line to him.. General's absence is down to the fact he has a new job in the US.Then his tread should be closed. What's the point in leaving comments??. I am sure he will read them when he returns and comment upon them.

  13. GM believes GH will be back next season, and he has had further discussions with Falkner about the summer plans.
  14. Putting my personal feelings for Barry and Manchester City aside; I would love to see Barry pick up a medal for his career.
  15. He is very good in the transfer market also.
  16. Don't really like the guy? He makes DoL look like Mr Personality? IMO he gives the impression of a plodder! Really? I do not interpret his attitude that way. He is a winner in my eyes and will give his all to make the club he is employed at a success.
  17. Oh I 100% agree. But randy has to take some blame for MoN leaving and has to take all the blame for hiring houllier and sticking with him. My point is that although he's been great for this club his decisions have led to us finishing on a similar points total to when he first took over us. Like I said surely in any business coming in, investing loads over years and then performing at the same poor level can't be considered a success. Really? Randy has stood up and taken the blame as the General alluded to a few weeks back on this forum. He is a classy and respectful fellow. You need to stop overreacting and blaming. It has been one bad season since Randy has been at this club. MON left us in a problematic situation, and Randy is still here trying to make the club a success. Look to the future now BJ10.
  18. Do you have any firm evidence that Randy is not involved with things happening at the club? I think your imagination is running away.
  19. That is totally unfounded and ridiculous to say the least.
  20. He ain't that good. Pep has made Barca way better since he left and he did poorly at Galatasaray who's meant to be one of the best in their respective league. He is a classy fellow and has reputation to attract top class players. He laid the foundations at Barcelona and put a lot emphasis on youth. He was not given enough time at Galatasaray to turn the tide.
