I no everyone is moaning about the team selection, but lets not forget who left us in this mess. Martin o'Neil and us villa fans need to never forget that. Yes we have not played up to expectations this season, but it is not houlliers team. He is building.... yes he has made some drastic decisions that fans are not too happy about, but we need to look forward. Houllier will not relegate aston villa, and if he gets something out of next season once he has fully made it his team we will all forget about this season

i travelled up to machester today, and i was disappointed when i saw the team sheet, houllier on the aston villa website the other day stated that his long term aim was to bring trophies back to aston villa. How can this be when he plays a weakened team against manchester city at home. I mean fans like me travelled up there all in high spirits and the spirit was gone when we saw the team sheet. There was no need to rest players, and ok even if he did, then making changes at the 70th minute. everything was going wrong at half time, so surely make the changes then. Villas problem has always been this, i mean look at the last two years in europe you fight all year to gain a spot, then you play youths against vienna and then we lose it just seems pointless trying for the whole season. I will stand by the players as to be honest i do not believe it was all there fault, they were been playd out of position against a good manchester city side.... all i can say is what a way to demoralize the youth.

The wigan game was a huge dissappointment europe was in our hands, so if we do not achieve europe through the league then we only have ourselves to blame. Barry i believe will not leave in the summer, he has had his chances to leave several times before, i think he is going to be a Gerrard and stay at villa just because he loves football and wants to play for us. Bouma however is a difficult one, if the contract is right i belive he will stay, to progress further, yes we do need big name signings but we also need to keep the main players as foundations for when we bring in the players. MON will not be able to build a new squad during the summer, he needs the key players such as Barry and Bouma, and if they do leave they need to leave at the start of the window, so MON has time to rebuild the squad.

in the premiership its hard to expect any game to give us three points.... the league is very close this season.. no one team can expect to win

of course we need a few signings before thursday... if we are looking to compete for europe then we need to strengthen the team. The villa team at the moment is far to small to be able to play a european game mid-week and then a league game on the weekend. With the size of our squad(the smallest in the premiership) and the lack of expirience a few of our lads have.. we need to add a bit more strength and depth to the team, regardless of our current league position

we need a holding midfielder such as wesley snijder we are interested in him and also kim kallstrom, these would be two good holiding midfielders. we also need to strengthen the wings an the left an right backs even tho bouma has been on top from this season in my opinion!

it has to be between bouma and gabby, they have both played much better an improved alot. when we signed bouma las season i wasnt to sure about him, but this season he has shown he is top class gabby has shown for a young player he can cope in the premiership and makes some leftbacks lives hell!

i think its a loss, alan pardew will i think get the charlton boys up for it...... either a draw, or 2-1, 2-0 loss. I want us to win but i think every team has a bad patch in a season i believe this is our bad patch

We are linked with DEFOE but since his recent goalscoring form, this seems more doubtful. There was a rumour about today that weare linked with a deal for Nigel Reo-Coker...... do not know if this is wrong but... Bellamy now seems to be the number 1 target, but i do not see why he would leave liverpool he seems to be happy there an playing the best football since many seasons back.
