  1. 2 good performances in 2 weeks. Winning the ball well and help me retain possession.
  2. Solid today. That back 5 is very strong together and it's nice to see them well protected by the midfield
  3. I think you can only do it once the game sells out. I'll look it up and feed back. I couldn't make the Brighton game so contacted the club who registered my tickets with some friends. I had to give their fan IDs and then they emailed me etickets in my friends name. All facilitated through the club so you can 100% do it.
  4. I've switched to a company car because the tax incentives were incredible. Not sure this will last forever but we've had a tax decrease from 40 percent to 1 percent. For me it's meant that I'm paying less for this car Inc servicing etc than I was paying for my 3 series lease deal, granted I'm not earning any equity in the car.
  5. Not sure yet on the range. I suspect it will be around 200 miles. It tries to do a lot of driving for you, recommending coming off the acceleration earlier and coasting quite a bit. If I can be bothered to get the hang of that I think the range will be much better.
  6. So the new wheels have turned up, BMW IX3. I bloody love it. Decent size, fully electric but feels like a BMW (which I love) and im saving the planet at the same time. Need to adjust my driving style to get a decent range but so far so good.
  7. Completely agree. He knows the expectation at villa, the only way he goes back to rangers for players if he really thinks they are good enough. He's in a great place to judge that given he has experienced the standard in the prem and worked with the rangers players every day. I'll try his judgement until I'm given reason not to.
  8. Maybe need to generalise more, what if we don't have a current gaffer. Also, we really should check on John Mcginns nouns and pronouns. How about, "they are the currently recognised head of teams selections preferred person".
  9. I think sadly any manager we take is likely doing it as an audition for a top 4 club. The only manager who saw managing villa as the pinnacle of all that could be achieve in football was Deano. I understand the point though.
  10. It bothered me as well, but I do sometimes wonder if we're too sensitive to it. Ultimately he was an ex manager and was frequently asked about Liverpool. It's not dis similar to JT and Chelsea. The play off final was billed at Lampard Vs Terry because the media want a story. If Stevie G came, I think he would give his all, we all know one day he wants that Liverpool role but helping us get success would be huge in helping him achieve it.
  11. Gerrard is the only one I've seen that's an interesting gamble. The pressure at rangers to achieve is bigger than most other clubs. Can't see why Rodgers would come.
  12. I don't think it will come down to a result in a single game. That would be mental. To say you have the Brighton game makes no sense to me, if you're that close to sacking him your mind is made up. But say he beats Brighton but loses to Palace, is the clock reset. If I'm purslow I want to know the plan. Can you explain what's going wrong, why were not getting results and can you show me a convincing plan that turns it around. When he talks to the cameras, you get the excuses and the endeavour to put it right, but behind closed doors you would need to lay out why you are making certain decisions. Between us we need to agree some targets, maybe points targets, maybe league positions. These are true for any organisation in the world that isn't performing.
  13. Why do they need to go to bed earlier though? None of this is about them training less, just about them training later. Surely it's much more sensible to get the optimum amount of training at the best time to suit the prime athlete.
  14. I also worry that the best Newcastle could manage is Eddie Howe. I don't doubt a range of managers could get a boost out of the current crop and maybe that's what we will be forced into but I'm doubtful we are going to attract someone who will take us to that next step.
  15. I thought we were putting this one on Lange?
  16. This is where I am as well. I'd rather keep and let him work through. Haven't seen any option that doesnt make me feel like we would be having this conversation again in a couple of seasons.
  17. I also thought he was pretty poor. So nervy. Not been a fan personally.
  18. Judging by the second half, the players are still playing for him.
  19. Absolutely fine if Watkins was injured and out for the season? archer none of us really expected but Davis has proved he can go a season without a goal. How on earth is he considered a viable option for a side that should have been pushing for top half. We needed to enhance the quality of our squad, if not Ings it still needed to be another senior addition who could contribute goals
  20. And Me, ask Mcginn to play deeper, let Carney play as the ten. Or bring on archer or Anwar to play wide. Pull Mcginn back and Buendia as ten. Loads of opportunity for players to play in their correct positions.
  21. Was quite surprised that Martinez didn't save the first 2. Maybe I hold him to too high a standard.
  22. Not noticed this, looked strong for his assist yesterday.
  23. My opinion, he's more than earned the right to work through some poor form. He was up for Manager of the month in September, now people want rid.
  24. I thought he was our best player, not a great deal of competition but was work rate was good and he showed some fight so gets a big tick from me.
  25. Agree, he's probably also learning how hard you need to work to get into a team and how important it is to take opportunities, however small. I'd also recall in Jan however.
