  1. Definitely agree the Lowton goal was a massive turning point, it was must win game and at that point in the game it looked like we were going to lose. Who knows what would've happened if that hadn't gone in that day. I'll never forget it anyway, can't recall ever being so pumped up seeing a ball hit the back of the net before.
  2. He shouldn't even be on the list.
  3. It's relevant because it shows they were stupid to sack him. I'd rather be 11th with "ugly" football than be relegated with "pretty" football. They weren't playing pretty football when they got relegated, they were just sh-it.
  4. The fans at Newcastle hated Fat Sam because of the terrible football they had to watch under him. The fact they were 11th when he got sacked is irrelevant.
  5. Not that I'd want Capello but take away his poor spell with England, his club record aint too bad. 9 League Titles with 4 different clubs in 2 countries plus a Champions League and various other cups.
  6. I'd go as far as saying the manner in which he left the club and his general attitude might seriously affect the thoughts of any chairmen considering him for their clubs. Totally unprofessional, also the manner in which he took most of the 1st team coaching staff with him, showed a complete lack of respect for the club and it's fans. He wanted to inflict the most pain he could. He comes over as a very arrogant, self centred man. He will never manage a club on the scale of Villa again. And there was me thinking nobody actually knew what happened yet... Still, nothing like forming solid opinions on speculation eh? MON has a track record of success everywhere he's been. There will be plenty of takers for him when he wants to work again. I base my opinions on the facts. He walked out on the club on the eve of new season taking most of the first team coaching staff with him. Basically dropping the club right in the sh-it. I wouldn't walk out of my job in such a manner, it's unprofessional at whatever level.

  8. Not a chance. The stuff he played at Newcastle was utter dross with the squad below, not a bad set of players. 1 GK Shay Given 2 DF Stephen Carr 3 DF José Enrique Sánchez 4 DF David Rozehnal 5 MF Emre Belözoğlu 6 DF Caçapa 7 MF Joey Barton 8 MF Kieron Dyer 9 FW Obafemi Martins 10 FW Michael Owen 11 MF Damien Duff 13 GK Steve Harper 14 MF Charles N'Zogbia 15 DF Lamine Diatta 15 MF Nolberto Solano 16 MF James Milner 17 FW Alan Smith 19 FW Albert Luque 20 DF Geremi Njitap 21 DF Habib Beye 22 MF Nicky Butt 23 FW Shola Ameobi 25 DF Abdoulaye Faye 26 DF Peter Ramage 27 DF Steven Taylor 30 DF David Edgar 32 DF Paul Huntington 33 DF Celestine Babayaro 34 GK Fraser Forster 35 MF Matty Pattison 35 DF Ben Tozer 36 FW Mark Viduka 37 FW James Troisi 38 MF Kazenga LuaLua 39 FW Andrew Carroll 40 GK Tim Krul
  9. Isn't it 1 year on a £4m contract? He signed a 5 year contract in October 2008.
  10. People seem to forget that Moyes still has 2 years to run on a £3million per year contract. Everton would be extremely reluctant to let him go. He would be one of the most expensive managers to try and get.
  11. Not quite sure what you mean by that remark, Everton are a massive club, bigger than Chelsea, Spurs or Man City, they should be challenging for the title.
  12. I really dont get this Moyes lovin, the bloke has won nowt!! I agree. I'm suprised so many are so keen on the guy. I don't think he could do any better at Villa than he has at Everton. He's wasted sh-it loads at Everton, Yakubu (£11.25mill), Fellini (£15mill), A Johnson (£8.6mill), James Beattie (£6mill).
  13. Fat Sam would be the nightmare scenario. Attendances would drop massively if he took over. His brand of football is terrible.
  14. Coyle has openly said the 2 clubs he dreamed of managing were Bolton and Celtic, I'd forget about trying to get him. I honestly can't see Moyes thinking Villa are a much better proposition than Everton, so I can't see that happening either. Hughes is better than him anyway, in my opinion.
  15. Can we though? Like who? I think Hughes is a realistic target, obviously I'd prefer Mourinhio but I think that might be difficult. We need someone with proven premiership experience and future potential, I think Hughes has both of those. Otherwise we should just take a gamble on the likes of Lambert and who knows what will happen.
  16. Number one target should be Mark Hughes, in my opinion. Gutted we just missed out on him last time. I also think Roy Hodgson would be a good choice.
  17. Agreed. Milner & his agent obviously don;t want it known that he wants to leave, there is more than likely loyalty bonus's at stake. Milner is not leaving for footballing reasons, in years to come I honestly think he'll look back on last season as the highlight of his career.
  18. If he goes to Man U. Leeds fans will never forgive him.
  19. I've been very impressed with Milner's attitude throughout his career, at Newcastle he was basically treated like shi-t, from the comments from Souness "You'll never win anything with eleven James Milner's" to the way they sent him out on loan, wanted to sell him and then dragged him back at the very last minute. But throughout it all he just carried on, did his best + kept his mouth shut. Saw an interview with him this season and he said it would be his first season that he's started and finished the season with the same manager, this seemed to mean quite a lot to him. Man City seem to have similarities to when he was at Newcastle, there will be no stability there, managers will come and go. I really hope he stays for at least another year, playing a full season in centre midfield I think he will be a revelation, I'd even make him captain.
  20. Rio Ferdinand is DEFINITELY NOT playing on Sunday, just reported on the radio.
  21. Even if Vidic plays I can't see him being fully fit, he's hardly kicked a ball this year. Giggs will be a big miss for them. I can see MON resting quite a few players next 2 games, where as Man U have 3 massive games before the final.
