  1. Taken from a post on Reddit. Infinitely better than the rubbish effort proposed by Heck.
  2. The club crest is a key part of the club's identity so I'd say it's pretty important and is why the fans care so much.
  3. I don't normally interact too much on here but fu*k me that is absolutely shite. Surely that can't have been produced professionally? Looks like it's been knocked up on the office PC by the work experience.
  4. Issue with Watkins is his lack of vision in final 3rd. Got into some really good positions tonight where he could’ve laid off a pass to Ings (2 occasions i can think of) that probably would’ve created a scoring opportunity but he just doesn’t have the awareness of what’s around him. Hopefully this is something the coaching team can work on as at the moment it’s blunting the attack.
  5. WTF, Luis Van Gaal? this Luis Van Gaal? Managerial honours Club Ajax Eredivisie: 1993–94, 1994–95, 1995–96 KNVB Cup: 1992–93 Johan Cruijff Shield: 1993, 1994, 1995 UEFA Champions League: 1994–95 UEFA Cup: 1991–92 UEFA Super Cup: 1995 Intercontinental Cup: 1995 Barcelona La Liga: 1997–98, 1998–99 Copa del Rey: 1997–98 UEFA Super Cup: 1997 AZ Eredivisie: 2008–09 Bayern Munich Bundesliga: 2009–10 DFB-Pokal: 2009–10 DFB-Supercup: 2010 International Netherlands FIFA World Cup third place: 2014 Awards and achievements World Soccer Manager of the Year: 1995[93] Onze d'Or Coach of the Year: 1995[94] Rinus Michels Award: 2007, 2009[95] Dutch Sports Coach of the Year: 2009, 2014[96][97] Die Sprachwahrer des Jahres (3rd place): 2009[98] German Football Manager of the Year: 2010[99] The one who created the just incredible Ajax that last won the champions league for them? The one who's won trophies in 3 countries and managed some of the biggest teams in world football? Yeah actually I do think he's "good now". Back in the **** 90s. Do you know how much managing the sport has changed since then? He was considered a failure at Bayern when managed there. Lacklustre at Barcelona, and he's done a pretty horrid job at Manure. He is a coach that is far beyond his golden days. His strategies do not work in modern football. People come out with some pretty embarrassing comments on this forum but that's next level. Lol.
  6. U know the difference between ogs and mcclaren/pulis? Experience! Your argument for sherwood actually states why we shouldn't appoint Sherwood. Yep that's totally true and I'm not saying Sherwood will be a good/bad appointment one way or the other. For what it's worth I'd rather go for someone like Hoddle. All I'm saying is that history shows that we never know what to expect. Quite often seemingly bad appointments turn out to be good ones and vice versa. Most of us thought Lambert would do well and look how that turned out!
  7. We are in a position to be picky. We have a billionaire owner who needs to protect his investment and asset values. Lerner could get most managers with the right offer, so i think we can be picky! Ok, let me put it another way... What decent managers are there that are available and willing to take up a role at a club in the midst of a relegation battle who have for the last 5 years been in turmoil at the boardroom level? Let's face it the Villa job is a poisoned chalice, a lot like the England job so in all honestly Tim Sherwood is probably about the best we can hope for at this point in time.
  8. Fans know f all when it comes to managerial appointments. People on here were creaming themselves over solksjaer last time round yet were disgusted at the prospect of someone like McLaren or Tony Pulis taking the reins. 2 years on OGS is no longer flavour of the month & Pulis or McLaren would be gratefully received as the next manager of AVFC so if it is Sherwood everyone needs to shut the f up with all the moaning and back the bloke because there's as much chances of him succeeding as there is of failing and we're not exactly in a position where we can be too picky.
  9. Sherwood is ideal. Has something of the John Gregory's about him. I can see him motivating the team enough to get the points on the board.

Makoun is doing just fine. The rest I agree with.. Petrov especially. How is that bloke still getting a 1st team spot?
  11. Let's all hope that O'Neil does the decent thing and goes in the summer. I genuinely mean that.
  12. how anyone can have the gall to come on here and try to defend o'neill after today is beyond me.
  13. On that performance I would be seriously concerned about Thursday now. Can see Vienna turning us over..
  14. Robinson was seen in Lichfield last night at the petrol station on shortbutts lane..
