  1. Yeah but invented by Peak Freans in Bermondsey, how does that connect to Bournville?
  2. I've always pronounced them similarly to Bourton On The Water if you get my drift
  3. I always imagined they were named after the French & European Dynasty and not the Yankee hooch, so borbon would be closer to the correct pronuciation anglicised Are you saying they should be pronounced the American way?
  4. Typically you concentrate on the wrong part of the post. I'm ignoring the Starmer rubbish, it's not particularly relevant to looking at the last result. Labour haven't been that popular in Hartlepool for 11 years. It's only 2015 that they'd have won it if it was a straight two way fight, That Starmer rubbish. Same point here, If the bizarre Woolly trousered Yorkshire Brexit Party don't stand (6.5K votes) and the Brexit Party sorry Reform UK (votes 1.5k) collapse further, those votes will naturally transfer to the Tories, effecitvely they are 4k behind before they start
  5. Ignoring the Starmer rubbish, i'm not convinced they will win it. Majority of 3.5k, 8k Brexit votes probably in the mixer
  6. Clicky Yep they look and sound completely normal
  7. There is no irony to see. They want to be a self-determing nation and all the indications are that they also wish to be part of the EU They as a nation had their membership taken away from them, they wish to get it back. There is no irony
  8. Nope its where the Pilgrim Fathers started
  9. This appears to have been completely under reported too
  10. I was watching a pigeon trying to eat from next doors bird feeder yesterday. Up there with Pheasants for stupidest birds in the world
  11. Wee Jimmy was using this election as a bellwether, it's Wee Jimmy's agenda (as a complete aside, I just looked up the origins of the word bellwether and to me it's amusingly appropriate)
  12. This appars to have gone unnoticed SKy News
  13. Population of North West 7-8 million Population of North East 3 million The North West is not remotely the same as the North East in political opinion and outlook Its a small subset of "The North"
  14. Thats different and not what was being said earlier. Starmer was getting rid of the working class was said
  15. Shhh, don't mention this but he was brought up in a council flat and went to a comprehensive school. it's just that earlier people were suggesting you you know, it was a purge of the working class....
  16. I'm not sure it is that shocking, they used to be the protesdt vote in many areas but then Nick Clegg and coalition happened and everyone has very long memories and remembers how we got to where we are right now
  17. You cant seriously be suggesting that this is the reason he's getting rid of them... it's demented Dodds is no Corbynite, she supported Yvette Cooper in 2015 Ashworth who was joking when he said he didnt believe Labour could win under Corbyn Nandy.... well no just no He's not sacking them because they were in a Corbyn cabinet. I would imagine he's getting rid of Dodds because even I, someone who takes an interest, only just remembered she's Shadow Chancellor, she's just got zero penetration Maybe the exact same thing could be said for Ashworth too and given were in the midst of a global pandemic and the Shadow Health Sec is hiding in the broom cupboard with the Shadow Chancellor Nandy, she's getting sacked hopefully because he recognises she;s an idiot and he only offered a position for unity after his election I really don't know about Brown but he has been chief Whip for some time now, nearly 5 years, that a decent length of time in the job
  18. erm did you read what you posted? Dodds, Nandy and Ashworth were hardly Corbynites. Thats 3 of the 4 named as being demoted
