Download http://unetbootin.sourceforge.net/to a computer and have a USB-stick memory ready. Then just start the program, chose, for example, Xubuntu from the program options and the "14_04 live" version and let it install to the OS to the USB drive. Then boot the old computer from the USB drive. Either you can run the live version from the USB or you can install it to the harddrive on the computer. The latter is probably what you want if you intend to use the computer more than just testing it.

Well bloody hell!! They offered a 21% pay-rise. A commute of 1 mile instead of 60. All other bells and whistles roughly the same. I'm **** having that!!!!!

I just drew blood on my thumb and broke a nail (stop sniggering), by missing the hole while chugging laundry into the dryer and jamming my thumb on the side of the machine. HOW IS THAT EVEN POSSIBLE????

I really should have a way that people could recognise that by helping with the site's running costs.... One day we could be advert free (and not have to follow the advertisers' rules).
