i'm on it @hutchavfc, good for following matches, getting quite into it
  4. have we gone backwards? or have others improved to our level. This (and this is my opinion) situation has been on the cards for the last 18 months. We got sussed by other teams last season and rode our 'luck' to end up 6th. Performances have not been good for a while and to our favour other teams have been just as bad. New manager was always going to mean a new system and personnel and so called established players were always going to have to adapt or leave, this is now more apparent. At this moment in time Houllier is Aston Villa and we need to support him and the players, he has secured the youger players on longer contracts so the future as I see it is looking up. It now down to over pampered and payed players to prove their worth and wages, they are proffessional players and should be able to adapt, if they want to! And that is more to the point of Villas position, do the players want to play for Villa, regardless of manager, or are we just another pay day for them. Hopefully Sunday showed that they do want to play for the Team now they've got to do it at home, infront of their Home fans.
  5. Sorry to hear, hope something comes up soon for you
  6. Watched the Fourth Kind the weekend, good film worth a look if into paranormal activity kind of films
  7. I think the wider public (non-villa fans) do perceive us as just that, mid-table. Its just us that think we should be at least a top 6 side if not more because of who we are. Don't get me wrong I know the statistics and where we are (or have been) but these comments that wind us up is how we are seen as a football club.
  8. problem overall is that MON took all his back room staff, so Villa are very short of coaching staff, we are very stretched. To see no signings and to have the start we have have, shows what control MON had, and what a good job KMac has done for us. (in no way is that a recommendation that he becomes manager)
  9. Right so who are we spending our Milner Money on then?
  10. I was under that impression, but when you look at clubs, like Man City, and who they are buying and god forbid they do win the league then how on earth are they going to accomodate players like Barry, Bellermy possible Milner. Not our problem I know, but if Milner does go to Man City then it will only be for one reason, money, Mancini has already said he will rotate and they ain't going to win everything.
  11. Hypothetical question here, concerning Milner or any other player infact who moves to a club with a view of 'winning things'. Is there a certain number of games that need to be played in the competition by a player to warrent a medal if that team wins the league, (or is it a situation that anyone and everyone collects one) and if its the situation where all 'squad' members collect a medal even if they haven't played then surely Milner (or whoever) for their own sanity must think about moving to a club that rotates players or has a big squad and could not achieve the number of games for a medal or even just collects one for sitting in the stands, are players that shallow cause if they are then they are just in football for the money no matter what they proclaim. (sorry may of rambled a bit but hope you get the jist!)
  12. new kits looking great, not sure on keepers but never mind
  13. Just read about Spurs securing a Barclays Premier kit sponsor (Autonomy) and are now looking (in discussions with) for a cup sponsor, do you think we should have looked at that? Just seen you are talking about this in the other clubs thread so ignore if you wish.
