If you had to pick one of : F Torres vs P Goncalves Barnes vs Johnson who would you pick and why? NB: you can’t have Torres and Goncalves For me, Torres and Barnes are likely to be the better value combination, one prefers right, one prefers left, and both are proven in the Premier league has scored significant goals from their positions. More risk with the other two.

I’d taken Rodrigo Moreno - 2 year contract which will allow us to send Duran on loan (maybe to Victoria). Watkins, Moreno and Archer as our three strikers next year. Can spend big then on the support striker/winger position that Bailey has been playing - I really wouldn’t mind Maddison if I’m honest . . .

So this is what a proper Manager looks like. FFS what a waste of a year, but we’re here now and he will bring the good times back! He was the 12th man today, didn’t stop directing from the touch line, could hear his voice above the crowd - excellent!

I’d be happy with Rodger’s and that is probably the lowest risk. You could argue the lowest upside also, but he has done well with Liverpool and overachieved with Leicester. Would get us to Top 8 for sure. Emery is probably my number one choice. Amiron I’d be excited about, but it would be a big risk - do we need to take that risk if we can get one of the other two? Shame Poch and Tuchel are seemingly ruled out as aside from the names above, I don’t fancy any of the others!

Hopefully we get an elite manager - Pochetino, Emery, Tuchel. If not, we will end up with a more risky option - Frank, Dyche (Any of the above five would be a vast improvement on Gerrard). When the owners pulled the trigger on Smith, Gerrard was already done - let’s hope the same happens again. Poch is my favourite - would get the best out of our South American contingent.
