    Needed the win.

Looked like we would get the win but 10 minutes into 2nd half it was 100% clear tres and mcginn needed to be relieved of their duties.

Davis and Connor should have come on.

That change would have forced us up the pitch as a team, given more energy and given us the best chance of gaining 3 points.

I pray fred is back, he can go right midfield target left keep the other 3 as a 3 at the back.

Targett and fred have the work rate that trez and el ghazi don't and are both more productive than tres.

    Samatta and davis to start

Louiz infront of the back 3 jack and if mcginn is still only 50% then he needs dropping for Connor.

    Steer if ready in goal.

While a few less hard workers with the majority being hard workers, we stand a bit of a chance to get out of this.

This is my thinking. 3 central defenders, targett & gulibert/elmo wing backs, grealish, luiz/nakamba, mcginn/hourihane in a 3 midfield, samatta and davis up front... 3 5 2

I know right. ****ing ICU nurses eh?! Trying to be all clever with their words on social media.

One question though, who is 'we' ?

The comment was aimed at people blatantly not following guidelines and people using 'confusion' over them as an excuse to carry on doing whatever they like.

    Not ****ing ICU nurses

Perhaps it means stay alert to what we keep telling you to do, you thick clearings in the woods.

I have had zero problem interpreting the rules and guidelines given out, not one. Does this mean I am intelligent, or am I a moron for doing as i am told?

Social media has really **** up society.

It's a cesspool of conspiracy, rumour, anger, finger pointing, misinformation with very little fact and reasonable debate.

Rather than bringing people together it polarises pretty much everyone.

The UK figure is deaths in hospitals, not sure about the French figures

Perhaps research them then before coming out with that nonsense...whatever your angle is.

  6. All I have seen and read is a photo of grealish in a street, and a story that varies but the facts seem to be that 2 parked cars were damaged at 10am and the driver left his details. The party bit is hearsay, the 4am bit is hearsay, the ross McCormacks flat is hearsay, anyone being drunk is hearsay, if he lives there or is staying there he is going to leave on foot, also due to social distancing he can't go around knocking peoples doors so he would leave his details...thats if it was him and his car.

To say there are holes in this story is an understatement.

    Oh absolutely.

But I think it was an honest mistake.

Yes I don't doubt that at all. I think the problem is the misleading nature of modern journalism at a time when sensitivity and accuracy should be paramount.

Obviously not as elderly with underlying diseases will be much more at risk.

But at the same time all accounts point to that prolonged exposure and higher doses of the virus greatly increases the danger to those working in and around hospitals.

Nobody is denying this. It's the misinterpretation of reports then quoting that as fact that is the issue

That's not the part that disgusts me. That's their culture. They eat animals like that.

I don't see the difference between eating a mouse or a bat compared to a pig or a cow.

But eating anything that's alive, especially ripping it apart like that frog is extra disgusting. Needless cruelty

This was bats, rats and mice that were alive

But then we go down and we're stuck with that coach who got us relegated anyway and hasn't been part of the plans this whole time. Is that better than going down with Smith?

If the manager who has been part of the plans hasn't done what he was bought in to do, then yes.

There's no guarantee a new manager would keep us up. We get relegatedand we've lost any semblance of structure or stability we had.

    Then what?

It's only 10 games, and no players can be signed, it's just a case of a coach coming in to do a job...I don't think the stucture or stability would be affected a great deal.

  13. It's no good sticking to a structure for structures sake though if it means us being in the championship for the forseeable.

There's no guarantee we'd come straight back up, and if we don't?....then what?

It's all guess work but while we're still in it I say fight tooth and nail to stay in it...and if that means getting someone like allardyce then so be it. If we do stay up then that's a nice problem to have...as in, what direction we take thereafter.

This is a signing with few if any downsides and the potential for big gains. At worst we've paid peanuts for a benchwarmer, at best we've paid peanuts for a decent goalscorer.

Exactly this. What would be the point of benteke/sturridge when we're playing with 1 striker?  Loads if money to sit on the bench and sulk?

I have a feeling once wes is fit again samatta may be used out wide.

This season was always going to be about how good our scouting was. We needed 10 new players, which we got (fair play), but those players needed to be good enough.

As things stand, they don’t look to be. We’ve spent 14m on a left back who isn’t playing, 26m on two defensive midfielders when it still looks as though Hourihane is the best option there, 22m on a striker who keeps falling over... etc. etc.

Don’t get me wrong, these players may improve but as things stand, it looks as though we don’t have enough goals in us and we’re easy to score against.

We don’t have time for players to need 10-15 games to gel, they needed to hit the ground running.

    Worried.

We have no option other than to give the players time to gel
