coefficient FC has fallen
Kind of glad. It crystalizes things now, and we know exactly what we need to do.

Don't forget, Fonseca was crying about fouls and 'dark arts' in the pre-match trying to influence the match. Glad it backfired.
Good manager though. Not as good as Unai though

Spawny DVBs mate. Refs are all on our side mate. Conspiracy mate. Martinez should have had 6 red cards mate.
First season in Europe in over a decade, yet apparently UEFA are in our pocket and fixing games for us to get through.

Id take 4pts now if u gave it to me for Bournemouth and Chelsea games
Absolutely. I think we can also get 4 points from Palace and Brighton away. That takes us to 71 points and still leaves the Liverpool game.
I'd be hopeful that secures 4th

I remember near the end of his time here, you could see on his face how much pressure he was under and he had gained a lot of weight. Saw him talking on tv a few weeks back and he looks a million miles healthier now 9 years on which sounds crazy but it must be stressful struggling at a huge club with the expectations it entails
He could have resigned? Held out for the sacking though. Football management is one of the few jobs you can have where you can be financially rewarded for being shite.

They have a point. 250k every week at their £3bn stadium. Each spending £50 on a peaky blinder cap with KRO SOTV embroidered on it.
How can we compete.

Football now isn't about where you finish in the league, it's about the coefficient and the balance sheet.
Wild.
Never mind the Football Manager game. Its Football Accountant now.
Manage your balance sheet. Increase the cost of pies and pints. Change the badge and roll out a new wet look strip. Can you win the profit and loss trophy!

This isn't going to be a hugely popular opinion here, but I don't see the Conference League as a "proper" trophy worth derailing our progress for.
How would it derail the season? We could play the kids on Thursday and still not beat Bournemouth. Or we could go for it on Thursday and beat Bournemouth. There are no guarantees. Our win at Arsenal came off the back of a tough game 3 days earlier. in other games, we've looked less effective after a longer break.
You just got to take one game at a time and aim to win every one. IMO.

Where's all this delusional crap from them coming from that they battered us first half?!
They were very good and had a good chance, but I felt we were Very good that first half. Professional performance, like a boxer jabbing and working them out, then went for the kill second half.
Arteta said they could have scored 3, 4 or 5. Delusion runs from the very top.
That being said, I hope they win tonight!

The big issue with increasing these type of living expenses is you then will always require income to that level, you won't want to "drop down". All your spare cash between you outgoings and incomings should just go straight into mostly you Pension. By far most tax efficient and can afford you early retirement if you are wise enough throughout your life.
Good points. Luckily I spend less now than I did when i was earning half my current salary! I've completely checked out of the materialistic life. Never mind keeping up the neighbours, i'm sure mine think i'm the local bag lady with a beard!
Yes on the pension (got over 20% going into mine) but caveated with the fact it will be locked away to pensionable age. If you want to retire earlier, at say 50, you'll need some funds to be able to see you through until you can access it.

I think if it becomes impossible to secure that 5th spot for the PL, then we will HAVE to focus on the league to land 4th place. We’d essentially need to throw the ECL.
No guarantees though, as we found out in MON's era.

Start of a new tax year, so time is as good as any.
What are people investing in? Or are people keeping it in cash? I'm split roughly half cash, and half in a FTSE All World tracker fund. Got a new ISA allowance and can't decide whether to go all in on the tracker fund or go halves again with the cash ISA. The tracker fund has returned 21% in the last 12 months (all reinvested), but surely it can't keep that up!
