  1. Yeh a couple of have claimed they drive KAs/Peugeots, how is this surprising to anyone, Barry thinks he is the dogs b*****, he has been having a go at fans critiscsing him on Twitter recently, its quite funny actually reading his tweets and realising he is going to regret that in future, when he grows up.
  2. Because he is actually more of a left back than a right back?

Exactly. It's a forum. By proxy you're inviting responses by posting. If you can't deal with it, then don't come to the party! yes... i know......but there was no discussion in your post, lets leave it there!

'jonno_2004' Are you serious? I was replying to someone elses post, no matter whether its a forum i wasnt inviting your silly response which had nothing to back up why you actually thought Makoun was not poor. Now your continuing to be rude, i really have no interest in discussing the match with someone like you. End of

you are too funny!!! seriously, always in space, always wants the ball, always looks forward with his passing, lots of 1st time progressive passing in midfield. watch him Sorry all i can see is him passing the ball sidewards not moving forwards or supplying strikers, even Clark got the ball to the strikers. What a load of complete, utter drivel. Thats a great contribution there!! but actually its just my opinion and i wasnt looking for yours

  9. Totally agree mate! We could change the name to something else for £200m and we would still not be guaranteed to get into the top 4 because, according to the General, big name foreign players don't want to come to play in Birmingham! Keep our tradition and let's try the hard way. At least we'll have earnt it if we do get there! Although im naturally sympathetic to this opinion, i am also sympathetic to the Corner Shop and Milk being delivered to my Door :winkold: Sometimes we have to leave sentiment (and sadly) tradition to one side, if we are not going to run the risk of being swallowed up by bigger and progressive competitors. Lets be honest here, if the Ground was called something else, it would will be still known to everyone on here as Villa Park, and Randy would have more Cash to either spend or put in his back pocket! Besides, you could always incorperate the sponsers name around Villa Park, especially if the development plans included the land owned by us, surrounding the ground. Something like the Disney World stadium at Villa Park? Quite frankly, i want my club competing at the top and not fighting it out with the Boltons of this world. Ive been lucky enough to witness our greatest triumphs, and i want myself and those to young to remember, to witness them again. If a silly little name can give us some extra revenue to do that, then bring it on!!!!! I agree with you exactly.
  10. I could not really care less what the name of the Stadium is, does it really matter?? If money from sponsorship of the Stadium could help us a) avoid relegation start aiming for 6th place again id take it.
  11. Again its nothing to do with loyalty, its to do with attitude and respect. Both conducted themselves very differently when leaving the club.
  12. Agree with above. Young did not tell us he would stay if even we were relegated, then basically state he wouldnt be moving, he was also at the club for 4 years and could have left the last 2 summers but did not. Young was also not injured when we signed him. Young did not pose with a Man U scarf. Young Thanked the Club and Fans. It has been reported that Villa are 'privately fuming' at Downing's attitude. I dont blame him for moving, he has just acted like a complete tool.
  13. There are ways to act if your planing on leaving a club, Ashley Young clearly had more respect for the Fans\Club.
  14. Most level headed & sensible post i've read today.. My view is simply that we now have a time issue & due to the state of the current squad we simply have to make a start now & no player would come here with no manager.. My favoured choice was not AM either but for me Hughes is off to Chelsea & this would explain the slience from both him & them plus "he would be welcomed here by the players" comments from John Terry... If there has been any tapping up going on its Chelsea & Hughes. As for AM well i am too very concerned about his playing style but wouldn't it be possible for Randy to say "Listen Alex, you can have the job but on the condition you understand that here at Villa we do require a more attractive style than your previous teams?" Also i think we are all forgetting that we can always replace him if things don't pan out well enough. I guess i just think that it looks like we are getting him anyhow so lets now turn our attention to what players we need, call a truce & give the guy a chance for the sake of the team if nothing else.. If things don't work out then take a shot on someone like Rikjaard or maybe someone else may be avaliable by then. Some sense being spoken here. I still don't like it, but we might not have a choice and before you know it the next season will be on us. Whatever happens, we need to pull together or the negativity (mispalced or not) will transfer itself to those eleven blokes on the pitch. The effect of that, I'm sure, is'nt lost on any of us! And anyway, as you point out, Alex Mcleish is just a manager....and managers ARE expendable. He has not been appointed yet, so dont start saying your going to support him, we still live in hope that Randy will make the right decision.
  15. Why do people think he is going to be given a great sum of money to be spent? no chance!
  16. Whatever team he plays for, i hope he stays on the bench ( well for a few games if its us) AND please rename the thread Downing : Idiot
  17. Anyone see the Guardian 'Said & Done'? Downing actually said ' i have even though about leaving Villa' apparently on April Fools Day. (i am aware he said similar afterwards)
  18. Exactly we would have been relegated without them and were now facing loosing both and we are hardly the best at signing replacements. However I think Downing and his agent are playing with Villa which could be good in terms of getting the managerial position sorted but he is not going to get the fans respect with this behaviour.
  19. Can't believe he had the cheek to hint that he would stay and then come out with this, he should be made to stick out his contract and someone should have a word perhaps to show him what a plank he is making himself out to be (though I suppose if anyone ever watched Wags Boutique you would know he's not an angel).
  20. Little Boots - New In Town http://yfrog.com/42agbonlahorp is that Gabby ?
  21. I cannot believe 50 people would be happy for him to stay! I would like to ask those people what he needs to do for them to say No!
  22. actually you all might be quite suprised what was happening in the lower doug ellis male toilets just before half time seen by a friend and how the stewards dealt with it when reported , look out for a letter soon though General
