  1. Have to say I'm enjoying doing instances with Nays and Tarj again, it's like old times (especially with Tarj moaning about losing rolls on stuff with +spi! )
  2. I agree with CardiffGreens. Heroics are stupidly easy, there's just no challenge at all. Did Violet Hold heroic for the first time this evening, it's basically exactly the same format as Black Morass, ie portals with a few dragonkin before a boss, all of whom are basic tank and spank fights. Honestly, where's the fun?
  3. I'd argue that it's possible to make content that people can see, and still make it challenging. Some of the heroics in TBC were pretty bloody difficult, but you felt like you'd achieved something when you finished it. and yes I got my pressies, you shouldn't have bothered!
  4. They really have dumbed down the content in WOTLK, all the quests and dungeons are stupidly easy.
  5. I wish they'd nerf Loladins. Sick of getting jumped by them trying to do dailies, and spending the first 5 seconds being able to knack all while they take my health down to 5%. Can't even fear the buggers.
  6. You do indeed make your own luck, helped by making difficult but necessary decisions about resting players when you're able to.
  7. I'm the opposite, after three years of being a resto shaman I've turned to the darkside and respecced enhance. Much more fun, and dare I say it, a lot harder (in instances anyway) Melee's a lot more confusing than standing at the back watching health bars go down spamming chain heal!
  8. Who would honestly include the fact they play Warcraft on their CV anyway?
  9. Nayson's Blast Wave trick is just the funniest thing ever. You see an ally who think they're safe as houses on a flying mount, only for them to be sent crashing to the floor while I wait there on the off chance that the fall didn't kill them, lovely!* I've found a good ganking spot is the area for the Sons of Hodir dailies in Storm Peaks, always loads of allies there. * We won't mention the time it didn't work, ie the ally remained comfortably atop his mount, while Nays floated serenely down into possibly the most mob congested area I've seen in the game, to be hacked apart by a million bloodythirsty undead!
  10. That's shaman action bars as well....
  11. Did a raft of Icecrown quests today Nays (and Si) so hopefully I should be to see you in there now!
  12. Good effort Nays. I like the fact we're finding new and innovative ways to cause allies grief!
  13. You should Nays. The first few quests in the area are an absolute piece of cake and pay out loads in G and rewards that you can vendor. Then you start on the Hodir chain, which although long, has quests that are really original and fun in it. Once you've completed it, you go from hated to friendly with the Sons of Hodir, then you're a few dailies away from some nifty rewards. The dailies are on a par with the Ogri-la quests for time/difficulty. Get to revered and you can get an ice mammoth mount for 1000G.
  14. Has anybody else done that Sons of Hodir chain q from Storm peak yet. It has to be one of the longest in WoW history, but worth doing as some of the rep rewards look pretty nice.
  15. I need as much Borean armor as I can get my hands on, so if anybody is doing a quest that involves killing animals, then give me a shout if you wouldn't mind. Ta!
  16. So, after I dinged last night, I spent an hour looking round for allies and turning them into frogs. Then killing them. Too much fun.
  17. I got ganked a few times in the first week or so in Howling Fjord or Borean Tundra by them, but hardly since. I'm going to respec a bit tonight as well to bring in some more elemental damage, to do more damage against plate. To be honest, I reckon loladins are a lot harder at the moment, as most people have obviously been playing them a lot longer so know them better. I yearn for the days when the **** would just bubble and hearth, instead of rendering you immobile before 3 shotting you.
  18. Think I'll give Icecrown a try then, as Zul Drak seems to have degenerated into kill x amount of spiders/bats/ghouls until you get y amount of drops. Dull. If we're all 80 at the weekend, can we have a big ganking sesh? I want to sheep things while Nays prepares to drop 6K crits on them, and Si charges in dual wielding his two handers. The three of us may even take down a L75 Death Knight, although it would be close.
  19. Oh my god, women are even mad in online games! I bet you go in there everyday don't you Laura?! (Which server are you on btw?)
  20. Yep! Roll a Horde and you'll be fine.
  21. Well, levelling tonight tonight took a back seat for some truly nasty ganking. Case number 1, a L75 druid and a L76 hunter both trying to kill that elite spider in Zul Drak at the top of the big building, which is quite a hike from the graveyard. I could see them enter the building, so I flew off just out of sight. Then when they attacked, I sent the spirit wolves in to bash the druid (freezes them for a few seconds) while I windfuried the beejaysus out of the bewildered hunter. One dead druid (with repair bills) and one dead hunter. I flew off to hand my quest in, gave it a while, then flew back and did them again. Case number 2: a L76 hunter killing water elementals for the drops to summon the water lord. Now these have an irritatingly low drop rate, I reckoned I had to kill about 20 to get the three strings needed to summon. When I'd finished I saw the hunter killing elementals, then saw him summon the water lord, so sent the wolves in. He died, then would have to have got new strings to summon again. I want a whine post and I want one now!
  22. Tbh, the price of the mats to smelt them pretty much adds up to the price of the actual bars as Titanium bars , eternal fire, shadow and earth are all reasonably expensive. Oh well, hopefully I'll have enough cash for two of them in a week or so anyway, I'm back up to 1,500Gish after buying my cold weather flying training. Why do you need two? Or did you mean the bars? Ah bugger just noticed it's main hand only, wanted to dual wield them!

  24. What do you need for the Titansteel bars Si, and are you prepared to blow 120hrs worth of cooldowns for me to make them?!
