I tend to agree.... How many of these types of panic stricken posts were there in January? As someone else said earlier, if we haven't signed anyone by the first game of the season then I think people will have cause to have a mumble, until then let's just wait and see....go water the garden, relax and enjoy the summer! The type of players we are supposedly now going for are going to be harder to get just because they will cost more and in most cases the selling club will not want to lose. Why should Spurs sell Defoe to us? Why would West Ham sell NRC for anything less than the figure they want for him?

Well, I'd have thought by the amount of responses and general level of feeling on the subject that it was pretty obvious it does matter, a great deal, to a lot of people. Sir - in the grand scheme of things this has to rate as utter minutia... Yikes - I regard the last years of Doug Ellis of being an important issue, but I think a badge is attracting more attention than that did!!!! :shock: Look, it so happens that I am not over the moon about the design, but it does have certain good qualities i.m.o., and therefore I'm happy to go with it... Us pontificating about fonts and other trivia is not going to change a thing - the club and what the managment's direction is are the two important things, and so far I have no complaints on that much bigger issue. I think they know where they're going, and I believe the direction issue will be solved on the pitch. Let's get a life and move forward. :arrow: Next topic? You know what, you're right...I'm sorry. 100% agree. I think the last section where you mention putting it up against the other major 'brands' is where we see the huge gulf in class and professionalism. I certainly was not expecting this excellent new Board to fall flat in this category.

How will next season be different? ...well, we'll probably buy a few more decent players in the summer as a result of the fantastic new supportive Board we have... The Manager and players will have had a full pre-season to work on things The optimism around the whole club will continue to grow (despite a small minority of people who continue to resist getting on board with this feeling - you should try it you know) Great young prospects such as Gabby, Young, Moore, Cahill, Ridge, Davis, Osbourne etc. will be a little older and surrounded by better players to learn from Gareth Barry continues to get better Bouma appears to be finally settling in and showing his international class etc. etc. etc.

I'm not quite sure what's pissing me off most right now.....my girlfriend's constant nagging or yet another piece on the January transfer window! Hopefully MON will have read your piece and will now, hopefully, know what to do....jeesh!

"an odd positive hint wouldn't go a miss".....? Everything about this new regime is positive. I'm sure we are trying (just like Newcastle and West Ham) to improve the squad but other clubs aren't going to sell to us unless it benefits them. Regardless of how ambitious we are, why should Spurs sell us Defoe? Regardless of how much money we are willing to offer, there's no reason why a club in a similar position will let us have their better players. MON will prove to be decisive in this equation as I believe players will want to come and play for him. Maybe you need to add a little more positivity to your posts?

I'd have thought the subject of a potential re-design should be put forward not individual designs. I actually think that a new badge would be good but think the club should decide what it looks like after taking everything into account.
