  1. Half way through, and we're in with a shot. If it goes to 5th a big chance. Yep we have had a knock, but looking at a wider range of 5 games- we are at 2 pts a game with games inc Arsenal, and the mancs- most of us would have taken that before.

We do need a few players though probably to stay there, RB, DM back up and a back up striker. Lets see.

  2. Definite issue with depth for rotation- Digne cant play two games a week with the amount hes asked to get up and down. Moreno not fit, so we have Pau there, but hes also needed in the centre where theres injuries... which leads to the crazy option of Mcginn as left back.

Im super disappointed about yesterday but see the logic. I just hope we go strong as we can in Europe for the next few games and then hopefully rest/rotate. It would be gutting to not get out the group. Hopefully we wont have such bad luck with inuries throughout the season or its going to be very hard to achieve anything.

  3. Surely Everton are going to rotate. If you are Dyche what is going to get you the sack- losing in this cup by playing a weakened side away, or by losing to luton on the weekend. Who rotated themselves knowing how important it is.

Everton need to get points at luton and Bournemouth these next two games to nail any sort of fear of being in a relegation battle, as after that I dont see them winning any of the next 5 (maybe palace away).

Anyways I see Olsen in goal and big rotation for this one ahead.

  4. So far we've won the games I thought we'd win and lost the ones I thought we'd lose.

The wins were in style, and the losses were away to two of the leagues best teams and in each we had to change the defence due to injuries.

My only worries so far have been injuries and that is tempered by that I dont have an expectation/hope of being top 4 this season- which I imagine some might have.

Not doubting anyone....Villa were second best today.

So let us peruse the argument it's not Emery's fault then?

Ok next, blame the players...what information were they given to play the game? Why did Villa let them dominate the first five minutes? The pattern was cast very early on....

The atmosphere at kick off was hugely positive, Newcastle were in champs league and signed some great players. The fans had huge energy and passed that on to their team. Hats off. We needed to weather the first 15, but we didn't. It would have been difficult for anyone.

  6. Well that was a hard watch from the Newcastle end. Before the match they asked if any Villa fans were there and I was the only one.

After the game and in the post match speech by Super Mac I had him telling me not to worry and some sort of commiseration round of applause.

For me the match was gone as soon as they scored at the start, and too many bad performances, Konsa, Kamara and Bailey all not at it.
