  1. You aren't the same lee_av who was claiming 'insider knowledge' on the OS last summer? Seem to remember current members of this board being taken for a ride. If you're a different lee_av, accept my humblest apologies.
  2. Neville made public noises last week when he obviously became aware that Lerner was flying in to possibly complete a deal. Might it be foolish to suggest that Padfield is making similiar public noises this week becasue something similiar may be about to happen. Or am i clutching at straws?
  3. To be fair to Neville, Mike McKenna said this wasn't true earlier today. Depends who you believe.
  4. Unfortunately, having heard the interviews & seen the SSN interview, i'm inclined to agree with this.
  5. The three guys looked more like a negotiating team than a high-powered consortium to me. Who knows? Then again, maybe they were our new chief executive, financial controller & sales director.
  6. Pete Colley, Sky's midland reporter, has just been interviewed on SSN. He was the guy with the camera crew today. Sounded to me like he was just assuming/quessing the american guy's were a 5th consortium. Didn't seem to have any inside info.
  7. Just seen John Barnwell interviewed on SSN about Steve McClaren outside Villa Park today. The way things are going he'll probably be announced as new manager tomorrow.
  8. Er, I don't think it's quite as simple as that. If you think it is, that you're as silly as the statement itself.
  9. That's the word Malcolm & there are plenty of them on here.
  10. Full of quotes from Ellis that is.
  11. Portsmouth aren't a PLC & it's not a takeover, it's more like a cash injection that might eventually become a takeover in the future.
  12. You only have to glance through his latest book (some fecker gave it to me as a work kris kindle present) to realise this & not money is what it's all about for Ellis. He even goes so far as to mention that a previous failed takeover looked like a very good deal, not because it would have provided the club with a cash injection, but because it would have offered him a continued place on the board.
  13. John Wragg has a very similiar piece (only bigger) in this mornings Espress. Dosen't seem to be online.
  14. For me, it's the pace & directness of Baros alongside either Angel or Phillips & may the best man win.
  15. The player to be dropped should be the player who is performing poorest of the three. Angel & Phillips will be playing for their shirt at Pompey tomorrow night so hopefully we should see a reacton from both of them to this news. Angel's position hasn't had any competition since DOL joined the club so we are about to see exactly what he is made of. The only winner in all of this should be Villa.
