I still think this is really tight between us and Spurs - I can see us needing to get something at Palace on the last day.
Saturday is a big opportunity to make a difference.
I'm thinking the opposite at the mo, we might have 4th sorted before Palace.
3 points on Saturday puts us 9 clear before Spuds even play, and they play 2-3 very tough games in a week. They need 4 points minimum out of those. We could secure 4th at Brighton, now that would be perfect for me.
I think my math is correct

Even now when we lose you get fans on here questioning the desire for not working hard enough, seemingly not running through brick walls etc, when in reality we have done the same thing as usual for a reason, to not waste energy needlessly. We optimise the work we do and it's shown by how many goals we've scored and points won/rescued right at the end of the game even when we haven't played well.
There was a perfect example of this v Bournemouth. McGinn cut a ball out in his own half and passed it forward, he then started to run forward but Emery stopped him and McGinn acknowledged it by putting his arm out.
He has us playing clever, especially with all the extra games

Bad news for you mate. I think blues are favourites for Lee Gwan
We could go for his younger half Irish brother.

Nope, absolutely not, no comparison for me.. just listening to that video you can hear exactly what he wants. He is already ahead now, it's only gonna get better..
I wouldnt trade that for any amount of oil or sarky comments

I can’t help but feel Liverpool are on the cusp of a good few average seasons. They’re doing their best to mess up their title bid, Klopp’s off along with Salah and probably a good few more, the likes of VVD and Robertson etc… no guarantee the new manager will have them performing at the top. I see an opportunity for Villa to muscle in here.
We could use VVD as a back up for Diego I suppose

Sky always show that stat for 75-90 goals and how far ahead Liverpool are

Close to a third there Everton. It’s lovely to see red scouse collapse like this. I hope we batter them at VP!
We could mathematically overtake them when we play them, what a story for the documentary that would be

It's a thing to look at in regards to who is playing and who is not, and to who's might be out the door, or in Not all players will thrive in such a tactical and analytical heave environment and some might take longer than others to adapt (have thought this about Duran but that's based on nothing really).
Could you imagine Gabby sitting through hours and hours of video analyses or understanding a meticulous tactical drilling.
He'd have fallen asleep the gormless eejit

We all get the bug, I genuinely feel like the majority of our players love the club as well.
As in, not just a " job " for them anymore.
There's a few zeros that may help with that, but I get your point

Early Villa goal here and Chelsea could collapse, we don't need to go mad but 5 or 6 would be rather good.
Extend the GD and 9 point lead over Spuds, jesus we may not even need all the games to do this. Steady on

Its in our hands, our hands. Imagine saying that 18 months ago with 12 points after 13 games.

Apparently it's illness, so wouldn't have thought he'd be out for too long?
If it's man flu he could be out for weeks, if he has any sense he'll throw a sicky and get him mum to ring in for him

A draw wouldn't be the worst thing but we have some momentum again now, I don't think we will balls it up.
Personally, I don't think Spuds will get more than 2 points out of those 4 games
