  1. Woohoo I might just have to Fawke out for it then.
  2. He nearly dug himself into a hole with his long 'I love Villa Park because I used to batter Villa when I was Liverpool manager' thing but other than that I was suitably impressed.
  3. Since it's very unlikely that Kevin will be offered the job I can't help thinking people are getting their knickers in a twist about absolutely nothing.
  4. You wouldn't be the only fan who don't go to VP so it wouldn't be that much of a biggie. I think it would be most certainly, as the appointment of Bradley as manager will turn a lot of people away from going to home games. I'm sure i wouldn't be the only one delighted that they'd **** off.
  5. That's quite a big place, can you be a bit more specific? :winkold: On his way to Milan Make of it what you will. I'm not doubting you thetrees, but how do you know Randy is in Milan?? He's able to track the movements of Randy's jet (cause he works at the airport I think). Doesn't mean Randy's IN the jet but it's pretty likely.
  6. You "We've never heard of Bob Bradley so he's absolutely certain to be rubbish!!!!" guys make me laugh.
  7. If we take money out of the equation I think it's fair to say that James Milner knows as well as we all do that he hasn't got a chance in hell of winning the Premier League with Aston Villa but if he goes to Man City it's probably just a matter of time. Sure he might want lots and lots of money (and since he already has lots and lots of money that's just greed) but he's going for football reasons too.
  8. Eventually Man City will resign themselves to that fact that this is the case and they'll pay up. Most probably in the last few days of August. Which could leave us somewhat shafted? I think MON perhaps has to impose a deadline for this either way. A yay or nay at MON's price by the end of next week, or all negotiatrions are off for good, and we move on. To string this out up to deadline day will not do Villa any good at all. Or Randy knows (like everyone else knows) that Milner will bugger off at the end of August so he coughs up some transfer money on the basis that he'll get it back when Milner goes.

  10. He's still pretty likely to go. Today's developments are just part of the negotiations.
  11. While I accept that this is likely the case, i'd love to know if we've ever actually bothered to sign that kind of player in the last 4 years or just not tried, assuming they wouldnt be interested Theres no harm in trying, as they say I suspect he had a go at getting Sneijder last year (that was my take on it anyway).
  12. I doubt if there's any evidence at all that Man City (or anybody else) have ever even considered buying him. Man City actually did bid for him, it was formally announced by Villa after they turned it down.... Of course yes. I forgot that.
  13. That's about the only factual thing I've read on the subject. Nobody knows anything. Even Villa's £30m asking price is just a mickey mouse number made up by somebody and taken as gospel. I doubt if there's any evidence at all that Man City (or anybody else) have ever even considered buying him. The only actual FACTS anybody knows is what James Milner said before the World Cup. ie: He thinks it's nice to be linked with other clubs but he's not prepared to talk about it. Such a killjoy ain't i
  14. He wants to win things and would presumably want to be at the most likely club to do that (ala Dwight Yorke). Nowt wrong with that if you ask me. It's when players move just because they can add more millions to the millions they already have that I get pissed off (ala Barry).
  15. tottenham improved when they sold there best players. The problem is with our manager. He wont be able to find the players to push us to the next level. Effectively you're saying that MON (the man who bought James Milner) is totally incapable of buying a player like James Milner. Think before you type!
