  1. He'll also bring Watson with him, he's taken him to every club job he's had.
  2. I just don't see it to be honest, itll be a legal minefield to appoint him, and that could take 12 months to resolve as it appears his resignation is in dispute from SHA. Nope nothing to see here!!
  3. I like ancelotti, and i think as a coaching team with wilkins they could do great things for Villa. However, there are two concerns i have. What price will it cost us to get Ancelotti? If it's a large figure, will it impact negativly on the transfer budget? Also he (Ancelotti) is a great coach, what's he going to be like in the transfer market. He's had no control in buying players in his previous roles, would we need someone operating above him in a DOF role to assist in this.
  4. The only thing that concerns me about Ancelotti is that he didn't really make any signings for Chelsea they were all made by Frank Arnesen. How would he get on making signings like he would at Villa.
  5. I was just thinking that, 5 minutes of utter drivel!
  6. Not sure about Moyes yet, certainly not Hughes, I think if i had a choice and you could get him I'd take Deschamps, if not then Ancelotti with wilkins, I think they could actually prove to be a great Villa Management team supported by K Mac and Gordon Cowans
  7. Some bloke called Dennis rang up. Kept saying Lerner as if it was spelt like Learner. Said Lerner is destroying the club and hasn't done anything for us. The host went on to say he's spent over 100m on transfers and club development and the guy refused to believe it. He then said we're just selling all the time and Randy is putting no money in. Then when asked who he wanted as manager he said Gary McAlister who apparently saved our season That's got to be a bluenose!!!
  8. That's you and Martin O'Neill, a small fan club ;-) I don't believe this, I've been away working and come back to find that I've been compared to MON by someone who supports the Browns!!! My word how times have changed! C'mon the Bills I reckon if you win a game this year that will be a good start, I think we will be selecting first next year!
  9. This is by no means official, however I have a friend who owns a sports shop and he has informed me that he has already had to place his order in for the new Villa home kit which is pencilled to arrive in July!! Hope this helps.
  10. I'm suprised that we haven't been linked to Barton. I would of thought he'd be a MON type of player.... Hard working, battler who has a little flair.
  11. Hi General, May i take this opportunity to echo the other posters comments on how nice it is to have someone from the club be in open dialogue with the supporters. I have read with a keen interest of the boards plans for the club, ground, training facilites and applaud your approach. I like many supporters, am an ex season ticket holder, whom for one reason or another has let it lapse and have not regularily attended the club for some time. I'll admit mine was through frustration at the previous incumbants regime, whilst also being partly financial due to saving for a wedding (8th Dec). However I am pleased to say that given the new boards willingness to listen to the fans, the progress that has been made thus far and some serious scrapping together of funds, I will once again be making the pilgrimage up to VP for the Watford game. However this time I will be bringing my wife to be with me (for her fist Villa experience). I look forward to reading more from you on the plans for the clubs future, and am safe in the knowledge that the fans will return to club, I have and am looking forward to again sitting in the Trinity Road. Happy New Year all as well
  12. I thought he was in the states watching the Browns Pre-season game??
  13. This Fisher chap obviously likes the sound of his own voice. because it is plainly obvious to all concerned that neither does he have the intelligence to realise what is in Villa's best interest, nor does he have any interest in pursuing what is in Villa's best interest. Quite frankly Mr Fischer you are a self important , pontificating sicophant hell bent on your own agenda, and in love with your own voice.
  14. She looked like a bluenose anyway!!
  15. I did think the same thing to be honest, and why on earth would they join with Neville to "bring in loyal support" everyone thinks the blokes a complete clown!!! I have very real concerns behind the motives of Padfields bid, what's further I have concerns over their funding of the bid, we have no ideas of his backers nor do we know how it is being financed? Maybe Mr Padfield would like to clarify that along with his business plans, instead of gobbing off to anyone that will listen. Then maybe we'd take him more seriously. Unfortunately I don't think he will and any bid will be heavily reliant on a loan, which will be put back onto the club after the purchase!
  16. This is a huge day for Villa as a club.
  17. I just think the end is nigh!!
  18. I would imagine most people would be considering the obvious Villa link. Well, am i not correct in assuming that whilst Petchy was Chairman, GT for a short time was manager. To my knowledge, Petchy has never been involved in the day to day side at Villa, but merely an investor. However they both had a close relationship at Watford. Now, if, and it's a big if, reports are to be believed Life Long Fan Michael Neville has approached Petchy to loan him the money, what if GT is involved or even facilitated this approach?
  19. Have we considered the obvious Watford link between GT, Petchy and their new found friend Life Long Fan Michael Neville!
  20. I did say that i thought this was DE's plan all along. The fans last night congratulting Doug made me sick, and my boycott remains, I will not return to VP while he stays. Walsall here i come!!
  21. I'm off home now so i can be in front of the telly when this comes on!!!
  22. I've cleaned my clothes and dusted off my best mug for my celebratery cup of champers, however I've also tied the noose just incase it all goes wrong!!
  23. Nah you don't want to do that, you want to go and eat bonser's pie and watch Dickie Dosh's flowing hump-it football!!! I wait to be proved wrong, but I doubt I'm going to be!!!
  24. I have this awefull feeling that DE won't sell and will still be here this time next year. And as previously stated I won't be setting my plates of meat in Villa Park again whilst this is the case. So I'll be down the Bescott Stadium a bit to watch Dickie Dosh's team!!! It's sad when it gets to this point!!
