  1. 2nd goal vs Liverpool definitely was not a hoof from the back and we have shown other glimpses of that kind of play this season, but not consisently enough
  2. Need a CB LB and if there is anything left after that an experienced CM wouldnt go astray. Shipping goals is the issue - with Weimann and Benteke we will score goals but we need to sure up the defense first
  3. I think Westwood is our best prospect in midfield and hope he recovers quickly as we could do with him on the run in - I think he and an experienced signing in the transfer window could work wonders for us as it is a weak area of the pitch for us at the minute.
  4. I think Delph was let down by Bannan the other night, Delph was left to hold midfield on his own whilst Bannan went roaming. We need to have a structured midfield four at the moment to break down opposition attacks before they get to our fragile backline. I dont see Bannan giving that to us. Westwood does give us that option and I think Ireland/Holman do as well. Thing is with Delph is he is a holding midfielder at best but even the best holding midfielders in the world cant take on an opposition midfield on their own.
  5. I think we should stick with the manager - we can see he is trying to introduce a passing style to our football, but at the moment we have to find the blend of passing and grit/determination. when we hit that combo we play very well and we have done that a few times this season, problem is when we dont hit it we seem to collapse and that is the worrying thing. If we can blend experience with youth and enthusiasm til the end of season we will be ok. Defend two banks of four make it difficult to get amongst us, then when we attack we can break out the passing and movement but we need to earn the right to do that at the moment the players are taking it for granted that they should have the ball not winning it back and not stopping the opposition from playing it about.

I actually think he might be a much better winger than full back - he has some skills has pace and can cross a ball so perhaps playing him on wing instead of fullback is an option. He is defintely struggling with defensive positioning but we should look at other positions for him - we do need an experienced left full and centre half in the window though.
