    Guys when can we expect some transfer activity ? - Do we have an end of season tour ? - and MON holidays ? - Im guessing that the activity might not be until july ? - what do you reckon ? Its all a bit cat & mouse - Distin will wait for the best offer, Bent is going to go somewhere, if its spurs expect us to move for defoe or keane - unless we already have bellamy !

    Milner is exactly the type & level of player we are after. Young - on the fringes of international - bags of potential -but knows he still has work to do to reach his peak. The last thing we want is a load of big time charlies strutting round like thay are to good for the place.

    I don't agree - if that were the case - there would be no point replacing tommy. Lets not forget bocu is from the league where Petrov was freescoring - he will not have faced, the ronaldo's - drogba's of this world. To me it looks like a massive gamble - much prefer jaskalien from bolton - probably the best keeper outside the top 4. BTW - hear liverppol want £4m for scott carson .......who on earth is going to pay that, for that turkey !

    Seem to remember people saying that about Petrov. - To sign a keeper from the scottish league is Madness in my book.

Patrik Berger, Olof Mellberg and Gavin McCann will be offered fresh terms, along with youngster Craig Gardner whilst talks will also determine the likelihood of Thomas Sorensen being made available for transfer at a set price. Putting tommy up for sale is a massive gamble. Artur Bocuc has proved himself in the scottish league (wow !) - should he not settle - we would only have taylor as reserve. Tommy isn't a top drawer keeper - he is a steady premier keeper - i would like him to stay around.

    Of course laursen could go on to break charlie aitken record for aston villa appearances.......or he could pick an injury and spend a large part of the season on the sidelines. Don't think MON will take the risk.

    Linked with Distin this morning in 2 tabliod papers - good experienced centre back - should work well with olly - get the feeling MON is very keen to fill the centre back position.

    Hello General, Is there anyway that concession tickets are interchangable ? - My 74 year old father has a season ticket - but doesn't always feel like going - at the same time my sons like to go to the odd game - ideally I would like to be able to use my fathers ticket - to take one of my kids - (under 12) ....is the over 65 ticket transferable to an under 12 ?

    Centre back is priority for me - we can't rely on Laursen - he is just to injury prone.

    hasn't bellamy played for celtic ? - therefore he will get into the villa team , and stay there, at the expense of someone who hasn't - similar to Petrov over Davis - end result ? - Davis will probably leave villa - have we kept the better player ???

    Goalie I like tommy - I know he drops the odd clanger - but overall he is a decent prem keeper. But if we are after more than decent then some of these have been mentioned:-= Jaskalien - Yes would like him & gettable I would think Celtic Goalie - don't know his name and don't want to - I don't want any more ex celtic players Ben Foster - would like him - but can't see MANU letting him go Green - doesn't really look any better than tommy Murray - Wolves - looks good but very injury prone any others ?

    Sorry - Imeant to to say 'wot about' - I have no basis whatsever - but I just have hunch - that Ashley Young won't be at VP long term - he may well come good , and wouldn't judge him on a handful of games - I just get the feeling even if he brilliant for us - he won't stay long term

    Wot a surprise move to Spurs for Ashley Young - with Defoe coming the other way ? - its a long shot - but given that londoners rarley settle in the midlands - and thay Youg doesn't seem to plug a natural gap at villa ???
