  1. That doesn't answer any of the points in my post.
  2. Because in the event of Digne getting injured we shouldn't need to rely on a 36yr old Ashley Young (who can play well there but not 90 mins regularly at this level, he's not a left back even if he can do it) when we have an alleged £20m backup left back in the squad. Whatever way we look at it, it weakens us. We came into the window saying we wanted to increase competition at Leftback to get the most out of Targett or a worthwhile option if he needed to be dropped. We were opportunistic with Digne but whilst he is a big upgrade it doesn't improve our competition if we sell the backup. It is short sighted Vs bringing in a younger backup who can improve our squad for the foreseeable (or even if we tried to bring through Chrisene, but no Cup games means that's unlikely). All of that and all I said was it would be -1 on a fantastic window....
  3. Incredible way to ignore the point of the post.
  4. Although would say I said at the end of the summer we had a habit of being done one player too soon and the same is true again. Same position too, but a fantastic window and very happy with our business.
  5. A fantastic window all things considered, I'd say 8/10. DM would make it 9/10 and new contracts for Dougie, McGinn and Carney would make it a perfect 10/10. -1 if we boost Newcastle with Targett without a replacement lined up. Very happy regardless, superb window and much improved XI and squad
  6. DEADLINE DAY SIGNING! I hope this takes ages to load on your screens as you wait in anticipation
  7. Now backtracking.. similar position to what Percy said an hour or two ago now.
  8. Guy who called Chambers (and Ings, Barkley and Martinez)
  9. But he didn't flip flop, you said not to believe 'journalists like this' and showed a journal who protracted a considered story, was accurate with the info he had and was eventually right without just pushing an article out of the door for clicks and hyperbole that is was happening despite his info showing it wasn't that far along.
  10. I can't imagine we go from £25m to £45m in one day. We'll give them a call and be like "Hey, now you've had chance to think about it, here's £32m on the off chance you need the money, if not we'll see you in the summer" And that'll be it until the summer
  11. But what's wrong here? It happened quickly and this details it happening over the course of 3 days. He also started to cover the AEG move to them. Just because someone didn't come out and say 'this is 100% happening' on day 1 doesn't mean he was wrong. What's detailed here is what actually happened, we may have been closer on wages than he thought but he didn't contradict himself at any point in these tweets
  12. This would be slightly better. They have to be rinsed if we help them. I want £8m+ loan fee and a £25m purchase option.
  13. Richest team in the world and one we shouldn't be helping. A monthly fee and wages covered is a crap deal
  14. Last seen being shite in the championship at the start of the season. Think he got injured as hasn't made many appearances this season. But hasn't set the world alight down there at all, quite the opposite.
  15. The next line in the article says they want £11-12.5m, so if we're assuming the tweet is true, we haven't low balled them by much and have a full day of negotiation ahead. If it's all true you'd assume we get it done for £10m by the end of the day
  16. Targett out to Newcastle would be a massive shame, but Hickey + Bissouma would soften the blow.
  17. Had hoped he'd either get a chance or a Championship loan, but was always probably a bit too much to ask after half a season in League 2. Shame for Swindon, but a promotion push and maybe the Playoffs would be great for KKH's development
