According to various mail articles Round oversees every dept at the club other than first team issues - he heads up the scouting department too so in effect he's very senior on targets - I doubt he's forced anyone on Bruce but he's certainly got a lot of sway on who comes in. Good, any new guy won't be rebuilding the entire squad.

What hype? He is a billionaire businessman who owns Recon group which owns a shed load of companies. How can that accomplishment fall outside of the definition of 'super-smart'? The guy has literally just turned 40 as well, who on this planet has currently achieved as much as him? This all just smacks of a plain old unfounded grudge.

The good doctor is saying it's his job to get the best out of his manager, in order that the whole team raise their level. If anything his point is that if the team cannot raise their level, then the manager is not giving their best, and there's nothing more Tony can do. Prelude to a sacking if yer ask me.

No it's not. We all get the urge to self congratulate, happens all the time. I'm not giving anybody applause for identifying some negatives about a manager, wanging on about it for months, having events turn out badly and then not having the good grace to leave it be and crack on with something constructive. Not pointing fingers specifically but it is happening. Always does. Always will.

Well makes a nice change to all the back slapping and merriment that we are changing managers yet again and will be set back at least another season.

Also stunned. But no need to apologise for supporting your team. These days all you need do is call a manager out as sh't as early as you choose and know they will be gone in under a year. That sort of prophecy ain't a gift.

100% agree, we need to slow it down, bring the youth in and start playing the beautiful game like everyone else has been for blumin ages. Doesn't matter if it takes 2 seasons, we need to be resilient if we ever go up and I'm not sure rebuilding the entire team on promotion is the way forward, we need a philosophy into which we can plug in the same sorts of player but who are just better quality, when the time comes.
