Our whole season defined in 90 mins awful at the back decent going forward staying up really comes down to if we can get enough goals and Samatta will be key to that.we conceding today in injury time in both halves how many times do we concede just before half time and just after or at the end of games ,we just dont seem to learn at all ,Smith's subs baffling again took the wind out of our sails again for th 2nd game running, For what's it's worth I still think we will stay up for no reason other than we have Grealish and the other teams around us dony

Poor display we were out fought which was most disappointing thing ,we looked flat after Tuesday and didnt look up for the fight at all credit to Bournemouth they deserved the win ,as a positive good to see Samatta score if he can get 8 to 10 goals we will stay up

Look it's a win wasnt pretty Norwich probably deserved something but plenty of times this year we should have got something and came away with nothing,confidence is low and we arent playing well there is a lot of weak points but I think there is a lot of poor teams this year ,January is vital we need a couple in st least it could make all the difference I think there isnt much between a lot of teams in bottom half dont lose the faith yet long way to go yet I can see a few teams like Newcastle coming back into the pack aswell there is probably 7/8 teams that could go down

You are right to a degree, I still don't think its the system though you should be more defensive against the better teams but you can do that still in a 433 I still think it's a personnel issue I think players have lost form and confidence the 3 goals against Southampton had nothing to do with the system all individual errors and same goes for Leicester game and Sheff utd game of more of a concern for me would be our defending from set pieces and the mistakes players are making rather than it being a 352 or a 442 or a 4231 whatever system is there unless you can defend set pieces and stop making errors that lead to goals you are going to be in trouble

A year ago today leeds came back from 2 down to beat us that result and injuries to star players saw our form drop off a cliff, this year is very similar ,our form has been poor pretty much since liverpool conceding late as we did has knocked confidence and McGinn who has played injured and now has a broken ankle ,Grealish missed the Wolves and Pool games and Mings will have missed a month by the time he is back these are our 3 best players ,more than the system being wrong I think it need s everyone to be firing on all cylinders which due to injuries or loss of confidence but he has to compensate for injuries and loss of form by solidifying the team more than a change in system I think it's a change in personnel we need wether that changing Kodjia for wesley and bringing the likes of jota konta and Elmo into the side for a few game or getting new bodies in jan to boost us I'm not sure but I think it's more a personnel failure more than a systems failure at the moment .

Our biggest problem and we have a few ,isnt Wesley it's our full backs there poor awful defenders its where all the goals we concede are coming from, Targett has been roasted every game with the last month hes very poor 1v1 lacks pace, poor postionally isnt very fragile easily pushed off the ball I have yet to see him win a 50/50 challenge he bombs on all the time but how many assists has he had this year?goal against Brighton is the only thing he has done, Guilbert gets caught up the field all the time and isnt able to get back, hes postionally awful gets too close to the CB and is open for a switch from the opposite wing which happened with the 3rd goal ,the full backs caught out of position has a knock on effect on our CBs ,how many times yesterday were Hause and Engels dragged wide by Ings and Long there was acres there an they dont want to be out there defending as they lack pace I know our full backs get left exposed at times but still there defending is poor and going forward there is no end product and teams now ate just sitting team so there is no space to run into for me Targett and Guilbert are our biggest weaknesses and teams are targeting them very game .

Great win have the makings of a really good side ,changes worked Guilbert looks a player and Jota adds creativity never panics in possession,Wesley was immense great hold up play and movement,Villa are back and it's fantastic great feeling tonight.

Spurs are a class above us and the better side won the game but still a huge amount of positives the biggest being the performance of our back 4 and keeper we need a solid base to build from and we looked to have that yesterday and we wont be playing spurs away every week I think we will be fine this year and look being honest staying up is the priority everything else is a bonus for what it's worth I think we will finish mid table which would be unthinkable where we were 4 years ago we are heading in right direction.

His record in excellent a goal nearly every other game if fit whatever about his all round play he should be in the team full stop.

No excuses was the worst performance I have seen from Villa in my lifetime.It might not be a bad thing as we were getting carried away due to some good performances over the last few weeks.Our reaction in the Wigan and spurs game will define our season.I believe in lambert I think what he is trying to do is the right thing he is trying to build a team and it will take time.Under the previous managers we never had the guts to try and rebuild a overpaid and underperforming squad to his credit lambert is trying to do this.Tactically he has been decent all season and the 5-3--2 has served us well over the last few weeks but lambert got it horribly wrong today as the system Chelsea play was always going to tear us apart as they have great width in the team azpilcuers hazard moses etc and we had face that kind of challenge with our new system yet it was a eye opener for lambert.As regard pool game we were better team and deserved to win not saying we are better than pool in general but on the day we were pool had possession and had a couple of good chances but never really tested Guzan',same against Norwich we were decent.There is no excuses for today we were awful on the pitch and so was lambert the season is going to be a struggle but simple as this if we want to continue the progress as be it small progress this season,the players and management are going to have to learn from this defeat and we need a reaction against spurs and Wigan .

Must admit until thus season didn't really rate weimann ,thought that he would end up like many of the young promising strikers we had before ,felt that the championship was prob his level but glad he had proved me wrong so far he certainly knows where the goal is and his work rate has been outstanding if he keeps this up he has a big future in the game

All round games needs to improve but that will come this lad certainly know where's the net is and his attitude his excellent always gives his all hope he starts against pool he deserves his chance

Has ability just inconsistent always was even at Wigan hopefully will come good signs haven't been good so far as I said earlier might be worth a shot a left wing back he struggles to get into game think he would be involved s lot more on the left wing

Does anyone think that with the new system we are playing that he might make a decent wing back he has played there at Newcastle before at done very well there notsure how good he might be defensively but he might be worth a shit the left wing has been a problem position for us all season
