  1. Keep it up, Nico! All he can do from now until the end of the season is try his hardest and if he performs like that when he plays then he'll do his chances of signing permanently a world of good.
  2. Ferdi Kadioglu is... quite versatile:
  3. We'll have to see. There are plenty of options to play in that position as it is. In my opinion, the signing of Rogers was basically the end of Zaniolo's chances of being signed.
  4. Or just keep Buendia and not spend anything further.
  5. In terms of 'top class' we can only really have one tbh - we definitely need another CDM who will be a good rotation option and is a solid player, though.
  6. A firm no from me because he's not very good at all. I watch a lot of Coventry games because my old man supports them.
  7. He looked like he'd had the supposed bug that had been going round at the club - leggy and out of sorts.
  8. Buendia is capable of it but is wildly inconsistent. His best through balls are world class but there are also times when his short passes aren't particularly good. Of course Buendia's a better overall player now as passing is just one aspect of a footballer's game, but Buendia was bought as a ready-made player and cost more than 4 times what Rogers did, so the expectation levels are much higher too.
  9. Yeah, he's definitely looking better - passing, control, possession etc. I think he's got his head down and has realised that this is his big chance to prove himself in (arguably) the best league in the world, so is trying his best to take it. Hopefully he will.
  10. He's explicitly rejected the Lazio links mate
  11. I get what you mean because I found it strange that he just stopped when moving towards where the ball was going. I don't know why he did that. Other than that, it was probably one of his best performances - and he still conceded 4, which begs some questions: Do the players feel less assured with him there? Is he commanding enough as a keeper to organise the defence adequately?
  12. Quite simply, we'll find out later in the wider context of the season. Emery's picking his battles to win the war, as it were.
  13. I think he did well at times and it was a very valuable experience for him. Defensively, as you say, he was good - some nice tackles, interceptions and pressure on the opponents. At other times, it was clear that he is what he is - a youngster learning and finding it difficult (but who wouldn't, right?). All in all, encouraging out of 10.
  14. Well he owes us after that stupid red
  15. Excellent range of passing today - very happy that he got his first assist. There's very clearly a lot of potential there.
  16. 17 contributions in all comps is a very healthy return for a player settling in to a new league and system.
  17. He's no stranger to adversity and overcoming it. If he keeps up this level, I'd be happy to sign him.

    Ezri Konsa

Konsa has grown so much under Emery. Used to be really timid in possession, always playing it super safe - now he's really come out of his shell. You love to see it.
