  1. Saw 'Rampart'. I was looking forward to it, but was disappointed. Nothing new in it for me. Woody's very good in it, but even then he never seems to get out of third gear.
  2. Just back from an early screening of 'Contraband'. Avoid. I thought it would be my cup of tea but couldn't wait for it to end.
  3. 'Star Wars' Trailer - 'Drive' mash up. Spoiler-ish, if you haven't seen 'Drive'.
  4. It's not my memory that I'm worried about, it's my attention span. Chat you later.
  5. Saw 'The Descendants' yesterday. Well written movie, some very good performances, and it makes you think about life, death & family. Having said that, something about it left me a little cold.
  6. Bratwurst. It may not be typically British, but she probably loves it.
  7. "I'm Tony Wilson. I'm the head of Factory Records, I think." '24 Hour Party People'
  8. What should pass??Story behind it sounds intresting but makes no sense without knowing what is meant by it It's a saying, really, meaning endure, stick with it... but also to be wary of the good times. Everything going wrong, feel shit, nothing going for you? Don't worry, 'this too shall pass', things will pick up. Enjoying a boon, nothing at all that worries you? Remember, the good times don't last forever, 'this too shall pass', things that go up must come down. It's something worth remembering, sometimes. It can open your eyes to a different perspective. It's my belief that history is a wheel. "Inconstancy is my very essence" -says the wheel- "Rise up on my spokes if you like, but don't complain when you are cast back down into the depths. Good times pass away, but then so do the bad. Mutability is our tragedy, but it is also our hope. The worst of times, like the best, are always passing away". Boethius (Christopher Eccleston) '24 Hour Party People' - Film
  9. Day 1 for me. Haven't had a drink in 2012, so I thought while I was off the booze, I may as well try and give up the smokes as well. On the patches, so I guess I'll just have to see how it goes. I think that I am ready to quit. I hope I am anyway. Recently I have found that I feel absolutely no different after a cigarette than I did before lighting up. And while I won't have alcohol to test my willpower, I am going to give it a shot. I have also realised how much money I am saving by not boozing, if I can knock the old 'coffin nails' on the head, I will be saving some serious cash. But I am doing it for my general well-being, not to save money.
  10. It's there, at the top of the map, in the middle.
  11. Link to Simpsons map, may make it a bit easier to navigate
  12. 'The Guardian': Harry Redknapp payment to offshore Monoco account 'disguised as loan'
  13. There's no point in getting bogged down with Harry's testimony in the case, as it assumes that he is telling the truth. He may not be. Quote from the Guardian: Some one is telling lies. If Harry's telling the truth, then he is being incentivised to sell the club's (probably best) players. Makes no sense whatsoever. I expect that the truth may be far murkier than anything that gets mentioned in evidence. Harry Redknapp feigned ignorance of Monaco bank account, court hears
  14. Is she over 40? Always fancied splooging over her  According to wiki, born in May 68. She's 43. 8)
