Sky Soccer Special hold no bounds....they have Michael Beale on the panel

Troy Deeney, and now this. Hat off to sky they do like to offer opportunities for those who are simple.

If Mainoo played for us, or even someone like Brighton, West Ham, or Wolves he would be in the England squad. He's not in there because he's England quality right now, hence he was named in the 21s to begin with, he's in there because they had an injury, not much in the way of other options, so gave the space to one of the most promising U21s for development time, not sure why people can't grasp that concept

Not sure why people moaning about Watkins not being given a chance either, he's literally just played the full 90 minutes against Brazil, and barring some major happening he will be jetting off to the Euros

I normally quite like your input, especially on the academy, u21, women team etc.

I would strongly disagree with you on the above. There is no way in hell would Mainoo be picked if he was playing to his level at Villa, it will take him at least 2 years with injury crisis for that to happen.

    We have seen it before.

If he was playing for Palace let's say, may be yes, because I truly feel GS has his favourites.

Scanned over the various player ratings in the rags, it's 5s and 6s

Guardian said England are disconnected without kane

Daily mail said he's just not the same player for England as he is for villa

Neither mentioned the fault of that being big nose...

There is a reason why Kane is playing as a DMC most of the time for England. Ollie has been trained to stay up top so will never fit in this static system.

For his sake would be great he gets involved for the euros, but then again I wouldn't mind if he goes on a well deserved break in the summer

  4. Couldn't make it up. If (IF) we get 4th with all these rotated injuries, we should build a statue of the Don and also the treatment room

Mainoo's inclusion is insurance for the Man United job, no other logic to it.

He wouldn't last a season at Old Trafford playing the football that England play.

Oddly think he will suit just fine with Manure. He is good at being boring and organised but hope for that moment of magic, the latter part is which what manure is best at.

He may do well changing the culture as well in the dressing room.

Probably yes, but kind of so what? For most of that United have been far above us in the table and playing European football.

Probably wouldn't call up someone after 20 games for Rotherham either.

Not for Mainoo when he played his last 15 games or so for Manure.

It might fly with bigger clubs... but Branthwaite and Everton? 😐

Not really meant by bigger clubs, but GS has his favourite: Palace, Everton also (Ben Godfrey and Michael Keane for example), seems to get their caps fairly easy in comparison to say Konsa, and even Grealish
