For the record Moore just noted England were rightly penalised. In fairness, and I;ve got no love for either Moore or the Toby/Olly/Tarquins in white, I've always found him pretty accurate with his punditry. Eddie Butler on the other hand is an absolute tool with both written and spoken word. Helluva drop goal from Wilkinson there.

Care, apparently. In my eyes, he was just trying to get hold of the ball. It's not his fault the Irish scrum half is really wet. Right, I'm with you. That kind of thing happens all the time without penalty reversals. All part of good old fashioned argy bargy if you ask me.

Well, I think this weekend's round of games just shows what a poor state Northern Hemisphere rugby is in at the moment, particularly sides from the British Isles. On current evidence can't see anything other than an emphatic French slam. Can't really tell how good they are either to be fair going on the lack of discipline and basic skills the rest of us are displaying.

As I posted above, in the same series of plays two french had gone in boots into face on the irish ball carrier - so may 13-13 would be a fairer set of players. Didn't see that, only caught the odd glimpse of the first half. Will any of the indiscretions be cited do you think? Watching now and it looks like men against boys.

Dunno like. I'd say it was pretty lucky that Ireland still have 15 men on the field. Disgraceful stuff from Flannery. Had a chance to get back into it late on in the first half too, but poor execution, not luck, was to blame there. France have been known to let a half time lead slip before now mind.

Really enjoyed that Ospreys game. Proper tense, hard fought stuff. Be interesting to see what comes out of 16 Playersgate or whatever it's being called. Quite enjoyed the fact that it was against Leicester though, who haven't exactly been strangers to a bit of cheating over the years. Neil Back against Munster in the final all those years ago springs to mind.

Got a text from my girlfriends SoL-season ticket holding brother as I left the ground to say that second half, we were the best side he's seen there this season bar Chelsea. I have a hangover that even a Big Mac meal has failed to bury. Still smiling though
