  1. Probably going to miss the boat due to poor decision making in the summer, he was there for us to sign but we didn't allocate resources properly to ensure we signed him. If he keeps this up he could end up being either out of our league or commanding an obscene fee.

As you say with expectations low on this player.....we can only be pleasantly surprised.

Well not exactly. Either he meets the expectations but at least we can get rid of him easily and the entire thing wouldn't have cost us much or we can be pleasantly surprised.

Can we stop criticising and mocking our own players (including those who are injured and out for the season!) for a minute please? Most of them are young and will continue to develop and improve. We managed to ship out a lot of crap and deadwood over the last couple of years who were overpaid and overaged...

    let’s back these guys now...

We’ve been through a tough period and came out of it well.

We’ve just picked up 2 massive results against Watford and Leicester, and are through to a cup final btw. I’m sure we’ve proved a few doubters wrong and we will continue to fight.

Can we just be a bit positive and optimistic for a bit and have some faith in our manager and players who have been working their assess off to try and perform and get results?

I just think we need a bit of perspective and need to calm down and back the club we support. Plenty of reasons to be hopeful and optimistic rather than downbeat, critical & miserable.

Let’s back Deano & the players and let’s get some results starting with Bournemouth today.

Staying up and getting to the final in our first season back in the PL after an unlikely promotion would be  something worth shouting about. Then we can progress further and add quality to the side next season.

You're basically asking people to not debate players and the club on a forum. This place would be very boring if it was mindless support. There's a serious difference between debating things online and, for instance, going to a match and supporting the lads.

  4. I pretty much have zero expectations because his record for the past 4-5 years has been extremely poor. As I've said before, he's very similar to Joselu who had stints at Newcastle and Stoke. At his 'best' Joselu could come off the bench and be a bit of a nuisance. Baston like Joselu is tall, can do the target man stuff and is pretty good in the air, especially in the opposition box attacking crosses. I don't think Baston's hold up play is better than Davis, but I do think he'll be that bit more of a goal threat.

Ultimately he's here for backup, my preference would have been a forward to come in to really be fighting to start, however January is a rotten time to buy, we really did fail in the summer in this respect. I would not at all be surprised if Baston is released in the summer but if he can defy what are a pretty low set of expectations then that would be fantastic.

That seems to be the mentality of some people. And I won't say women because I"m sure some blokes are the same.

Basically they can be upset and moody about anything they want at any time. They don't see how weird and upsetting it is for you to one minute seem fine and the next minute be in the doghouse for something that never even happened.

Yet if you get upset or moody about anything they kick off.

Said it before but I genuinely see it as abusive. It's mental torture. Do what I want or else.

That sort of behaviour is, I think it's a sign of borderline personality disorder.

As bad as it sounds, one of the last things you want to do is enter into a serious relationship with someone who has a mental illness. I've been there at it was the most miserable experience of my life.

    Victory for Trump day incoming.

Huge thanks to Adam Schiff and Nancy Pelosi, without whose hard work and dedication, none of this would have been possible!

Pretty much agree and I don't think people on here get it. In wanting to hold Trump to 'account' through an 'institution' (for lack of a better term) which was never going to deliver that accountability the entire charade will only serve to strengthen Trump. Tulsi Gabbard had it spot on months ago.

I'm going to play "utter garbage" bingo with your comments on his debut in the match thread.

You're like the Mark Chapman of VT, I feel like I have a stalker.
