  1. I regret setting the alarm and getting up for that. Everyone was terrible except the away fans.
  2. Guzan Hutton Okore Clark Lowton Sanchez Westood Gil Delph Sinclair Benteke
  3. Has a disappointing draw all over it, give up an 88' equalizer. Please take all the corners short.
  4. Bradley is coaching in Norway I think -- so I doubt he'd be meeting in the states.
  5. No Grealish tomorrow -- starting for the U21 today. Aston Villa FC ‏@AVFCOfficial 8m8 minutes ago #AVFC team to play (@stokecity): Hill, Leggett, Wildin, Crooks, Webb, Toner, Abdo, Calder, Robinson, Sellars, Grealish. #BU21PL
  6. re: Januzaj loan. I don't think Villa can loan him because that would make two ManU players on loan. Obviously, things change if Cleverly is signed permanently.
  7. Clark and Okore were solid and need to be for the next couple of games against lower competition -- Lambert after the game saying the other injured defenders are not coming back soon, "Ron and Philippe will be out for a few weeks and Nathan will be out for a lot longer."

  9. 4 points from two fixtures we lost last campaign... with clean sheets... and without Benteke and Kozak. It wasn't pretty but it got the job done. Gabby shouldn't start. MOTM for me was Westwood -- though his corners are still crap.
  10. I have no issue with grabbing at straws like this one.
  11. Has Lowton gone? I know there were the rumors about a loan out but I didn't think it had happened (yet). I'd like to keep him around in hopes his first season form shows back up.
  12. To give some credence to the Monday rumors -- @nmashiter_star: and, while I'm here, don't expect anything official over the weekend from #avfc. Monday should be fun though.
  13. No, he's not involved with the team now. That is no surprise though because it was his father's team that was passed down to him and he sold it as soon as he was contractually allowed to. His father died in 2002 and the team was passed down and not allowed to be sold for 10 years, Browns were sold in 2012 (as is the luck in Cleveland, now owned by a man under FBI investigation for fraud).
  14. What I'd like to see: Guzan Bacuna Vlaar Clark Bertrand KEA Westwood Delph Albrighton Helenius Tonev What I think PL will do: Guzan Bacuna Vlaar Baker Bertrand KEA Westwood Delph Weimann Holt Gabby
  15. No transfer fees. Either player trades or free agent signings. No Relegation either. If memory serves, he bought the team while they were teetering on bankruptcy. Didn't they pay $50 million for a pitcher? You are right. Totally forgot about the Yu Darvish deal. International players (usually from Japanese baseball league) often demand transfer fees. But within the league and most countries don't use the fee system.

  17. That speaks well of Marc. Shaw is on the trajectory to be a star, Marc is not. He is a decent player with an ability to send the ball with the right foot from out wide. It appears, from the limit appearances of him playing on the wing, that he owns that knows where he is best and plays to it. He does need a strong FB behind him because he'll give effort on the defensive end-- but effort isn't enough to make him solid while defending.
  18. From ProFootballTalk -- Notes are my own. Seahawks owner Paul Allen - $15 billion Rams owner Stan Kroenke, at $5.0 billion. (Coupled with wife Ann Walton Kroenke’s $4.5 billion, that’s a $9.5 billion power couple.) -- ARSENAL Dolphins owner Stephen Ross $4.4 Billion Buccaneers owner Malcolm Glazer $4.4 billion -- MAN UNITED Jaguars owner Shahid Khan, at $2.9 billion. -- FULHAM Giants co-owner Joan Tisch also has a net worth of $2.9 billion. Cowboys owner Jerry Jones is worth $2.7 billion Patriots owner Robert Kraft ($2.3 billion) Browns owner Jimmy Haslam III ($1.8 billion) - currently under investigation for fraud Texans owner Bob McNair ($1.8 billion) Ravens owner Steve Bisciotti ($1.8 billion) Falcons owner Arthur Blank ($1.6 billion) Colts owner Jim Irsay ($1.5 billion) -- currently in rehab Titans owner Bud Adams ($1.2 billion) Saints owner Tom Benson ($1.2 billion) 49ers co-owner Denise York ($1.1 billion) Redskins owner Dan Snyder ($1.0 billion) -- please no. Chargers owner Alex Spanos ($1.0 billion). Go ahead and start guessing.
  19. Could have to rethink the lineup (and the rest of the season) if this is true. Time for Holt, Robinson and/or Helenius (if he is still alive) to show up. Kristof Terreur @HLNinEngeland 52s Bad news for Christian ‪#‎Benteke‬. Suffered an injury on training, probably a serious achilles tendon injury. No World Cup for him? ‪#‎avfc‬
  20. Bertrand and Albrighton on the wings? Not a bad idea, should get some service into the big man.
  21. This very well could be Norwich claiming a low bid in the press so that if/when they accept a higher number they can make the argument they got a better deal.
