Man, I just don't know what to make of it. "Homewrecker" is really where 'Jane Doe' kicks into high gear. It's such an important song for the album. And this, of course, doesn't preserve that urgency. In fact, it does just the opposite.
I guess I appreciate that they're trying to do something different, but it might as well be an entirely different song. And on its own merit, I don't think I'd be particularly interested in it. I also have a hard time reconciling Converge songs with intelligible lyrics. Jacob Bannon's job as a vocalist is to sound like a wounded mountain lion and that's the way I like it.
