  1. I specifically remember the game against West Ham, NRC looked like a man possessed at times, the amount of running the players did was massive, think the French guys will be used to the work anyway.
  2. hahaha I should have at least previewed it but anyway you get the gist, Gabby's best mate is coming back to Villa.
  3. http://www.foot01.com/foot-europeen/angleterre/duverne-quitte-metz-et-rejoint-remi-garde-a-aston-villa,191765
  4. I believe it is his page.
  5. He basically made a comment after the Swansea game about how he can't do much by being given 5mins.
  6. I think you are underestimating this guy, I do not think 90mins at Spurs would have altered the enormity of the task that he knew he was coming too, Remi knew the task in hand before he entered WHL.
  7. Let's take performances, for e.g. Ayew scores against Swansea, comes on against Soton wins a penalty, then comes on yesterday and scores. If KMac was in charge for weekend, you'd bet a pound to think Ayew would not start considering the past evidence. We have all said it numerous times here, Westwood and Sanchez together as a pair do not work, they never have and never will but yet we continue. Richardson is arguably the worst left back the club has ever seen yet we leave the one we spent just over 8million on, on the bench. Adama, it's no coincidence since his comment on FB about only being given 5mins, that he's been dropped completely. The most bizarre of all is that the a player who is probably the fittest we have is deemed fatigued considering he had 9 days rest. A coincidence that the only player used by KMac yesterday which we'd purchased in the summer was Lescott, so that's nearly 50 odd million worth of talent that is just sitting there. We can sit there and say they are not good enough, but have they really been given a chance, look at Ayew, everyone said he's shit, waste of money, bought the wrong Ayew, a few games and look how much he's putting in. We have been grossly mismanaged and for me KMac and Tony Parkes should be sacked as soon as possible if they truly think that was the best team available to them last night. That was a team picked for their pal Tim Sherwood and not for the interests of Aston Villa. What's this comment from Traore on Facebook? After the Swansea game, he put down a comment on FB complaining about the game time he had been given.

  9. A bit of fight. You don't need a super duper manager to show that. Agreed, it's not the time to make excuses for poor performances. Outside of a 10 minute spell in the second half there was no fight and no desire. 10 minutes of it simply isn't good enough, pretty much every team in danger of relegation are capable of 10 minutes of fight against top half sides, it's just not enough. People need to realise that the points have to come from somewhere and given we've already blown it against a number of poor sides so far, we're actually now going to have to take our fair share against teams in the top half. I hope we're not going to have excuses made for every time we lose against someone half decent, else we'll be excusing our way into the championship. I think fight would have been shown had they still been in the game, the goal after 2mins knocked the stuffing out of them due to ineptness on the line up picked and the actual players. Then that just goes to show that they are mentally weak, and frankly as fans we should hold them to a higher standard. If Leicester were as mentally weak as us they would have like half the points at this stage than they actually have. It's just not good enough. I think that comes from the management team, as Lerner put it a manager who doesn't buckle under pressure.

  11. We've played 1 game without him and to be fair with Parkes around and KMac around who were both appointed by Tim, doesn't surprise me we lost with the team put out. The fittest player we have in our squad is Gueye, we are then told he isn't fit, though he played 9 days ago. It's internal politics going on, the sooner Garde shifts these no hopers out the better.
  12. Best player we have and we don't use him.
  13. KMac has to go along with Parks, if that team wasn't picked to stick up two fingers up at the board, I can see no other reason other than that. How anyone can pick Richardson at LB is beyond me but then to play a CB on the right side who is as left footed as they come is unacceptable.
  14. The players wouldn't take any blame? You can't blame Fox, Sherwood and Lerner for Guzan kicking the ball straight to opposition! I agree but what you can blame Tim for is, dropping Guzan, making it known he's looking for a new No1, signing an incapable No2 to challenge Guzan, then not signing a No1 and then telling Guzan he's No1. It's not very good management, no wonder his confidence is shot, on top of that I don't even rate Guzan as Stevo will point out to you. I agree with that - but surely in spite of what you are saying - there has be a minimum standard you expect from a player even with low confidence. Some of our individual errors this year have been ridiculous. I don't think the players can escape blame, and I don't just mean Lescott. I agree with that and I am in no way defending players but I'd say the treatment of Guzan has been pretty shoddy and no doubt his confidence is shot to pieces. Hopefully Garde can get something out of him, as his form lately has been awful.

  16. Do you think he will save us, Rich? Are you happy about this appointment or do you think we should have gone for someone with more managerial perhaps? It's a tough ask for anybody. Can he secure premier league survival? maybe the odds are not in his favour given : the upcoming run of games, the new players not used to the league or a relegation battle, the position we are in meaning we are still in the bottom three even if we win one or two on the bounce, the fact that he is not used to the club or the league in terms of management. I'm not dissing the "lack of experience" thing or saying we needed someone with more hours under his managerial belt ( I think Allardayce would have kept us up by the way) because to be honest there is a difference between just keeping us up and basically putting in place something to reverse the tide and make sure we dont have these battles for a few years yet. Sherwood was not capable of either, Allardyce may have been capable of one but not the other, Moyes may have been capable of both to limited degree, this chap may be able to do the latter but not the former, who knows in reality. For me it is not just about staying up this year it is in sorting out the complete and utter mess and shambles we as a club have become and that may actually take relegation to do. So we may actually still go down this year and he sort it out once and for all. My fear was / is we are going down and stay down for a while. I'm not sure whether he can or is able to sort it out long term but that's what I want out of him, out of any manager of Villa. It's a case of suck it and see with him as it would be any bloke to varying degrees. But Im not focussed too much on relegation this season as I've accepted it anyway. This calling for Allardyce, I was listening to him on the radio and how he stated, that he is working on the defence and that's all he's been working on since he arrived, so considering that, you've got to wonder how they conceded 6 yesterday. Sam may keep Sunderland up but I really don't think he was the man for the job here, Garde will give us a fresh aproach, reading up on him, he will be a cool head in these times which is needed for me.
  17. I don't remember those, pretty much all of his passes have been safe ones. During the Blues game and Stoke game, he does like to make the forward passes and very quickly, a very good footballer.
  18. Reginald Ray has been at Bastia from 2010 to 2014, from a few French Journos on Twitter, he's highly respected in France.
  19. I believe Remi will be the new manager with or without his staff.
  20. Anyone care to tell me where he was for their second goal? It's a complete myth that this guy is actually any good at defending.
  21. Tony Parks had an input on the side last night, no doubt still hurting that his mate has been chopped.
  22. There is so little in these bettings that a few hundred would make managers into the top 5, only yesterday we seen Justin Edinburgh jump from 100-1 to 12-1.
  23. They will just link us with any French managers as Garde is obviously on the list. I think as Trent said previously, what happened was the story of Garde broke so quick that it was actually quicker in the press than actual reality. I think weekend is most likely when we'll be looking to appoint someone.
