i'm going to have to totally agree with Mantis here. Although Given made that save, he does not command his box well enough. He is very small compared to a lot of keepers, both my Dad and I commented on how small he looked compared to Orient's keeper and Guzan as well. I really do think if Guzan was in goal the game would have gone to extra time. During that final scrappy build up towards their goal the ball was lofted into the box a few times. Guzan would have claimed one of those balls to stop the goal in my opinion. For me there's no denying the fact that Given has been in goal for all of our cup exits. (excluding sheffield united) Bradford, Millwall and Leyton Orient. and should have done better in all of those games.

I would definitely not be happy if Vlaar was some kind of side deal off this one..

He has to start, there's no question about it. He's one of the best players we currently have in the team. I think he will definitely make some mistakes, but its up to us as fans not to bash his confidence! Grealish is playing with confidence and no fear, he hasn't really had the fans get on his back and I hope it stays that way!

Obvious trolls are obvious. That Westwood clip you posted Stefan is awesome. I remember watching that during the game and turning to my brother and just saying "wow" - It's not the first time he's done something similar as well! I think it was last season, a ball was way up in the air and he brought it down with such good control and played a decent pass almost a split second after.

I don't understand all the hate for Westwood? In my mind, he's a decent player for a mid table side, which is what we are. He's not a world beater by far, but he's definitely not gobshite like some are suggesting on here.

This new look defence has already bettered last seasons results against the same teams. Thats all we can hope for in the short term really. We shipped 6 goals against Stoke last season and 3 goals against Newcastle. EDIT: and yes you could say that was 4 games and we've only played 2, well in the equivalent fixtures we conceded 2 against Stoke and 2 against Newcastle.

An AM that chips in with goals as well as assists is needed.
