  1. Or take a goal kick and have go in your own net on a really blustery day. This needs to happen! Where's that Captain Picard gif!?
  2. Poor day at the office but not the end of the world. I like seeing Barkley on the ball going forward; I think some of his link up play with Jack is filthily good at times, defensively though he's such a non entity and a complete passenger which I don't think we can afford to carry. Rightly or wrongly I always think he plays for himself and not the team, something I also thought Jack was guilty of last night messing about constantly trying to get one over Coufal when a simple ball was on... Jack lost that duel but Coufal had the constant support of one or two other Spam players teaming up with him and I found it frustrating that our other players didn't utilise the extra space created. I was chuffed when we brought Barkley in on loan as he's such a talented player and at the time I thought he was above our level but too often he goes missing in games and personally I'd like to see us revert back to Jack in the middle, Anwar on the left and Bertie on the right. I thought we played some good stuff with those three when Barkley was out with his hamstring.
  3. It's a funny one, I have a PS4 Pro as does a chap up the street and whilst it has only crashed once for me he's had endless crashes and had to put the game on the backburner whilst they sort out all the reported issues. I've probably sunk about twenty hours into this game so far which for me is huge as my gaming days since retiring from WoW appear to be behind me now. I reckon I'm only a fraction into it so far but am absolutely loving it, bugs and all. It's hilarious parking up at the kerb, running into a bar to do something and on return to my motor finding huge tailbacks because nobody in Night City knows how to overtake.
  4. If you have a VPN you can cast as many votes as you have regions to bounce off. Actually, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't...
  5. Never mind Ross McCormack my certified analyst friend, I'm just glad auto-correct didn't kick in. Or maybe it did...? My tuppence is he's a greedy, good for nothing who's mugging off our club. Shame on whoever offered him that contract. Shame, shame, SHAME! I just want this modern day Bosko Balaban out of Villa so we can close off this thread and pretty much forget he ever happened. Just like your auto-correct... or not...
  6. Same thing could be said about a lot of the players we have signed in recent years.
  7. On most other occasions I would completely agree but loyalty in this game of ours is pretty much nonexistent and yet Tammy decided to stay, turning down the lure of Premier League football and I'd assume the money that goes with it to try and finish something here. The circumstances behind his decision I have no idea but if we don't get promoted it will be through no fault of Tammy who so far has been absolutely massive for us. He's been loyal to us so it would be pretty poor on our part to freeze him out if the playoffs slip away. I want to see what goals tally Tammy reaches with us and if that is at the cost of others development so be it. :)
  8. So says he heard of our interest three or four weeks ago yet not a sniff of it has been mentioned in the media. Just another example of how little those 'clowns' really know and why it's best to take any names linked with the club with a pinch of salt. Lays to rest the argument on here that this was a last minute panic decision. In the interview something about him reminded me of Gareth Southgate, make of that what you will.
  9. Whilst like many, I have concerns about our full backs I'm hopeful our transfer business has strengthened us down the spine to better deal with the shortcomings of Hutton, Elmo and Taylor. I'd guess Carroll has been bought to fill the DM gap and whilst not a tackler I'm expecting our passing and ball retention to improve with him in the side; more possession equals less tackling I guess. Hopefully the new recruits will help bring a little more balance to the team and in turn consistency. It's going to be an interesting second half to the season and fingers crossed we can do enough to grab a playoff spot.
  10. My scroll wheel is broken. Just like Hogan.
  11. I wouldn't. To my mind Davis has done a lot more in the shirt when he has had the minutes than Hogan. Granted Davis hasn't been spectacular in front of goal but even so he's offered a damned sight more to the team than Hogan. I'm now wondering to myself how well Hogan would do playing off Davis a la Quinn and Phillips or Heskey and Owen...
  12. If Hourihane is going to playing at left back I'd stick Taylor in goal. My logic is he favours his left foot just as Bosnich did.
  13. Next on VT does maths, how many Ross McCormacks climbed shoulder on shoulder would it take for one one Ross McCormack to climb over his gate? Answers on a postcard please.
  14. So what you're saying is make him manager? ??
  15. But I thought Bunn was the answer to all our troubles?
  16. I don't want Terry anywhere near the club if talks of £60k a week are true. I'd take James Collins on a sensible wage and re-evaluate in the January transfer window. Probably no truth to either player link though knowing the papers in which case take a punt and just play Tuanzebe in his natural position... and re-evaluate in January; can't be any worse than some of the other selections Bruce has made.
  17. I was happy when Bruce was appointed as I thought he was the right tool for the job, that job being promotion. I didn't expect to see free-flowing fancy football but rather effective direct play which yielded results. For me, his first season was a free pass to get the house in order ready for a serious challenge the following year. I firmly believe he failed despite us getting within a game of the Holy Grail. On paper at least, I felt we had the best squad in the division and many echoed that at the time including those in the media. His tactics and utilisation of players at times has been mind-boggling and this season it's gone to an all new level! He has talked of players struggling to adapt to playing for a club of our size but I'd argue he's in the very same boat with his management. He's not managing a side fighting relegation so why set us up game after game like we're playing against Barcelona as opposed to Brentford? In terms of club size, finances (putting FFP to one side...) and the ability to lure players we are the Barcelona of the Championship! We are one of the bigger fishes in this pond if not the biggest and with the resources we've thrown at promotion over the last two season's with the right man in charge we should have been promoted. Maybe I'm being blinkered here but from memory money does buy success; Blackburn Rovers winning the league under Dalglish, Chelsea and more recently Citeh. The same applies to getting out of the Championship, I'm looking at you QPR... Wolves after many managerial hiccups struck gold last season recruiting Mendes and now we all seem to be trying to get our paws on some of his clients... You get the best players and a decent manager and promotion seems almost guaranteed. That ship has sailed though, they had a monopoly on him and now there's a handful of us begging for his scraps... Too little, too late. Fair play to Wolves. We have the players (albeit Bruce has hamstrung our defence) but we don't have a manager capable of getting the best out them. Come what may this will be his last season unless he pulls a rabbit out of the hat and we finish inside the top two. I'll be interested to see where we're at come Christmas; if we're not challenging I think the owners will pull the trigger and give a new manager the rest of the season to bed in their own ideas ready to go again the following. Man, I ramble on aimlessly when I get going... I can't even remember whether I had a point to make or was being delusional.
  18. Who needs legions of nobody American supporters when you have Tom Hanks?
  19. Didn't Batman drag a crook kicking and screaming back from China to have justice served? If we had a whip round do you think we could hire him? Failing that, what are the A-Team up to these days?
  20. It pains me to say but surely Wolves have the 'rights' to Led Zep...
  21. I don't want to tempt fate but that's four games I've watched now and they've all been fine except for the commentary and replays. Been watching on a laptop in Google Chrome with no VPN, only a location spoofing extension to access the feed and then turning the extension off once connected.
