The touch to set Konsa off down the flanks was brilliant.
Shame it was Konsa running the wing as it came to nothing, but the lay off was Berbatov-esque.

Not sure why you think attendances would go up?

Can't have been easy coming in having played so little football, but did well.

What was the keeper doing there? Great block from the defender.

The VAR decision for Newcastle in their game against Bournemouth is utterly baffling.

West Ham fans are a bit odd. They seem to always be pissed off with an aspect of their club even though they're doing quite well.

I thought this and commented as such yesterday.
It's worth adding that he's not a football fan at all, so has no interest in the Villa. Simply suggests there could be a multitude of reasons why this design has been registered for a UK trademark, but that insolation wouldn't be sufficient to protect a brand's IP globally.
Something as significant as the new crest for a PL team wouldn't, in his opinion, be left to discover in such an open source manner.

The in-house legal counsel at my company has a bit of experience of IP.
His opinion is that it's unlikely that any commercially sensitive work would be left to be discovered by fans in such a fashion, otherwise any organisations branding would be in the public domain before any official launch.
Whilst no idea about Villa per se, he does say that there could be a multitude of reasons why a company would register for trademarks that seemingly never see the light of day. It's also not a particularly costly exercise.
Given the global nature of sport, registering a trademark in the UK doesn't offer IP protection in other countries, again suggesting a "leak" such as this wouldn't necessarily mean it's the finshed product.
