  1. Youve got a point. This only happened when we had that grim season under Taylor. On the other hand, when was the last time we played someone like Inter Milan??
  2. I really rate Sorensen but think he has been to blame for quite a few goals recently. If Postma isnt the answer then we can only stick by Tommy and hope he brings himself out of this relatively bad period (compared to his usually high standards) .
  3. Was it such a good shot that he could do nothing? Taken from OS Doesnt prove anything does it really?
  4. A striker can miss 20 sitters but score the winning goal and be a hero; a keeper can make 20 great saves but make one mistake and be a villain! Unfortunately thats the nature of the game. Tommy has been making some great saves but has also been guilty of some glaring errors - thats why I think Postma is worthy of a chance again.
  5. Okay, lets forget the Ellis Out protests; lets pool all of our efforts into getting the transfer window abolished under European Law instead!
  6. Why would a professional footballer not want the club to be ambitious?? Surely Barry has ambitions of his own such as playing against the best in the Champions League - why would he not want this? In order for this to be achieved, the club needs to match his ambitions, which they are obviously not.
  7. You still havent answered the many questions which have been posed to you?!
  8. Why do you narrow mindly suggest that it is just about someone coming in with millions to spend on the team. Fair enough, that would be the perfect scenario, but ultimately we would like someone to come in and develop the club by enhancing the clubs commercial activites. Doug isnt capable of formulating a business strategy which can take the club forward. He also does not believe in borrowing, which is a very restrictive business practice. If the club was a normal business, Ellis would have been forced out years ago; or the business would have gone under. What can we do to support the team at 8pm on a Thursday night? Obviously we can talk about footballing issues which we do but we can also talk about forcing change, to ultimately benefit the team.
  9. Okay, answer this...in recent times, when was the last time that the majority of fans got involved in an Ellis out protest? Imagine if almost all fans (say 15,000/20,000/30,000) got involved in a sustained, widescale protest that lasted longer than one or two home games! If we really tested his resiliance, do you think an 80 year old man could cope with continual pressure against his regime? IF he did cope and just brushed it away, then we could finally say once and for all that there is nothing we can do - until then we will keep trying. Why dont you get involved and see what happens instead of discrediting any idea before its even got off the ground?
  10. Or is that just not supporting Ellis? Everyone on here supports the team; whether you a are season ticket holder or frequently attend; even those who cant make it for what ever reason are still true supporters. You fail to recognise that many people who post on here are also very willing to respond to a thread that directly talks about football. A regime change or finally getting Ellis to put his hand in his pocket, will have wide implications and, believe it or not, it will have a direct effect on the team. Therefore, wanting widespread fundamental changes in the boardroom in order to improve the team, is ultimately supporting the team, is it not? Perhaps you could tell us what your idea of supporting the team is and how you implement this?
  11. Oh yes, supporting Aston Villa is about nothing more than buying a ticket and going down to the ground for ninety minutes. On the field activities happen in complete isolation to what happens off the field. :? Or does supporting a football team involve many aspects and not just being there at match day?
  12. Anyone else think that someone from the FA should be thrown through it?? Why on earth they implemented this system I just do not know. We are told it is so that managers have to get their squad in order before the season starts but it just makes their jobs even more difficult. You could have a huge squad and if you are unlucky at the wrong times, you will end up down to the bare bones and not be allowed to bring anyone in! O'Leary has even stated today that clubs just dont want to do business in January so what is the point?
  13. Havent the Bristol City fans got into the chart at number 19 with barely any sales of a song they have recorded??? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ For those who believe, any evidence will do; for those that dont, non will suffice.
  14. The £ sign protests will be useless this time. We havent got a home game left before the transfer window shuts and after that £lies can tell us what ever he likes regarding transfers in the summer.
