Aren't we screwed with new rules? We had 92% wages to revenue, with 70% for European teams it would see us having to sell quite a lot to comply.
Or we could increase our revenue by increasing sponsorships like they appear to be?

if Olsen is in we may as well throw the game.

The Guardian figured out the most common centre back partnership for each club in the PL this season.
The good news is that Konsa-Pau is the most successful of the partnerships, winning 7 of 8 for 87.5%.
The bad news is that 8 matches together is towards the bottom of the list...three teams have had their most common partnership start only 6 matches, while Arsenal and Everton have had the same partnership for 24 matches.
Let's hope to see a health Konsa and Pau at CB for the rest of the season.
Cash being out will probably mean we don't see Pau and Konsa as a CB partnership for a while.

Good to see Watkins walking around with no ice on his leg or anything.

No need to be sarcastic, there are several dozen players we could have looked into signing instead of prioritising signing the players we did
You talk utter waffle.

There are always deals to be done
Tell us more about the world of football. You're clearly a very knowledgeable man about everything.
We're clearly after a certain calibre or type of player. No point signing a player for the sake of it.

We signed two players for about 20m.......... that could have been spent on a midfielder. We could have loaned someone with an obligation to buy in the summer.
Sorry but no.Maybe we tried to get a player on loan with an obligation to buy but clubs weren't willing to agree to such a deal? It's not as easy as we say we want someone and therefore it happens.

I think we can play Pau and Luiz in the double pivot now Carlos is back. But if it's Timmy time, sound.
Has Pau ever played in midfield? If he hasn't then I don't think the knockout stages of a European competition is the best time to start experimenting.

He better not be injured again.
Well I doubt Emery would just take him off for a laugh.

If we need to make sales this summer to comply with whatever bullshit financial rules we're struggling with, how much do people think McGinn would fetch?
Fully expecting people to not want him to be sold but when you consider he's 30 this year so he's approaching an age where we won't get a higher sale figure than we probably will if we sold him this summer.
His stats are good but he doesn't score/assist in high numbers. Plus we paid peanuts for him so if we got £40-£50 million for him that would do wonders for ffp.
Not saying I want him gone, just wondered about other people's thoughts?

I would genuinely rather play Hause over Chambers.
The same Hause who made 3 championship appearances last season and who hasn't played yet this season? Behave.

One is making some bets on prospects
The other isn't hindsight we had ONE DM, it was obvious we needed anotherI'm surprised you don't work in football in some capacity seeing as you seem to be the oracle.

Didn't look right to me last night. There was one ball played over the top for him which he gave up on, I'm sure a fully fit Bailey would have got to it before it went out for a goal kick.
