on the subject of Ocado ... I'm running a project next week for Vegan burgers ( yeah I know , but just smile and take the money) the order I placed for delivery today of 96 packets of vegan burgers has come up short , so they are substituting around half of it !! Bit of a huge problem , as i can't use the substitute product so I'm online trying to find some more of these particular products when I get a phone call from Ocado .. basically saying Sorry we let you down , we've sourced some more to fulfil your order added them to your online shopping cart for delivery at 09:30 tomorrow all you need to do is logon and click the button if you still want them so ..take a bow Ocado

I wouldn't go out of my way to add it as for me chips are aren't really a breakfast food , but if its offered as part of the breakfast then I'll have them and if nobody is looking will turn into a Northerner and make a chip butty

I recorded a show about him last night that I'll watch at some point , but isn't that where James Bulgar was abducted from ?

at least you had the decency to make tomato and mushrooms optional , I'll allow the black pudding as although I wont eat it , it wont' leak and tarnish anything else on the plate so I can just work around it , or give it to one of my heathen mates who eat Northerner peasant food few of the cafe's in London when I order a breakfast and ask them to remove the beans and tomato will offer me an extra egg or sausages instead , it would upset your ratio of bacon to sausages but its always a nice Brucie bonus when they do it

i think the law states , There is no offside offence if a player receives the ball directly from: a goal kick , throw-in or a corner kick so presumably the position is irrelevant

Back from seeing The Libertines tonight in Kingston I’ll be honest and say they are a band that have passed me by previously and I’d put them up there with bands like The Ramones and The fall for being famous for no logical reason but , actually I thought they were pretty decent , sounded loud and pretty tight , vocals were a bit muffled but that could be the venue tbh … I’d definitely go and see them again

ours responds to Echo rather than Alexa (i read the manual and changed it ) , if we refer to my sons pet gecko , then the device will chirp in with "I'm sorry I didn't quite catch that" but on the whole it behaves itself But i use it to play music and that's about it , I'm not sure I'd ever use it for anything else ??

lets hope he has the same issues that managers did following Fergie and Wenger and we can rule Liverpool out of our title chase next season

The other flavour ice cream they launched is angel delight banana , you might have a tough choice ahead of you
-
I’ve just heard there is an Angel Delight butterscotch flavoured ice cream in the stores unless they can come up with a ham and cheese toast topper flavoured ice cream I think we’ve just reached peak food

He’s changed you know , might not be the old drat you remember , He was drinking from a Thatcher’s glass the other week

Must have been the woman behind me in the cinema

He should be flattered that Brentford doubled up on him today , but equally when teams do that the other players then need to step up and exploit the space this creates

Cash being injured probably didn’t give us a whole lot of choice ?

What is it about us and shit teams that can only foul and park the bus coasting that and 4 months ago we’d have seen that out with a comfortable 2-0 , players seems to be too casual or lethargic… credit for getting back to 3-3 but that’s 2 points dropped , means I’m gonna have to cheer Liverpool tomorrow v United and I’m still not clean after cheering on Chelsea the other night

I like my job , to the point that after about 4 days of Covid lock down I was already thinking “**** , is this what retirement will be like “ Plan is to retire at 55 but in all honesty i don’t see it happening I do work for myself though which probably makes a big difference to how i feel about work compared to other people … my boss is still an idiot though

TBH I don’t know they did that .. I usually get a Frappuccino to go from them but rarely / never drink in
-
I’m with you on it , my pet hate is people that conduct business calls in public places , our gym has a no phones policy and yet some hotshots still take calls as they walk on the treadmill, or in quiet zones on the trains , just delegate and stop being a control freak so that the company won’t collapse if you are away for more than 30 mins

What if the job is “working in a coffee shop “ ? edit - ffs I need to learn to read the very next post before making witty replies

If I needed a specialist subject for Mastermind I guess it would be The Beatles (hi @bickster ) I know more than the average Joe about Ancient Egypt but not enough to risk humiliation on TV by picking it though. If I could go back in time and pick a new career I’d love to have done archeology and live and work on excavations in Egypt I’m similar to @mjmooney really though , a good generalist on quizzes, I could probably help him on a team with the very few gaps in his knowledge , unless the question was modern shit music in which case we’d both sit there looking at our feet
-
With exactly that in mind , there was a business proposal that one of the coffee shop chains were investigating a few years back whereby if you “drink in” the coffee would be free and you paid an hourly charge for the table nothing seems to have come of it so I guess the one coffee for 8 hours plan is still the sound one

We’ve got a couple of frogs living in our pond , they are kinda tame now so I go out there and they will come over to me for a tickle … I quite often pick them up and take them for a walk around the garden ( ie scare Mrs H with them if she is out there ) toads on the other hand , big ugly bastards , I found one of them in the pond once , he got pinged over the fence into the neighbours garden

could be a decent thread mine was Arsenal v Villa with my Arsenal supporting Dad and brother ( family are from North London) Villa won courtesy of a Malcolm Macdonald own goal , I supported villa to annoy my brother and the rest is history
