  1. young crowley is backin irelands under 17 squad for next week. The talk is he has chosen to play internationally for his spiritual/ancestral home. Think Fifa are going to bring in a rule that playing Gaelic football excludes you from turning out for anyone but the green isle!
  2. Great stuff he was sensational for ireland 17s last week won 2penos and scored a cracker in 3 games. Ireland and villa legend. Trapatonni loves a good winger Jack!
  3. Drew 2 all with crystal palace at weekend robinson and grealish with goals
  4. His grandad is Irish and a large part of the family live in Ireland. Cheers thank you. I hope he finds his heart is green
  5. sorry for asking this question in the wrong thread. dan crowley was named in the ireland under 16 squad today. does anyone know his connection with ireland? Is he from a strong irish background like jack grealish and his gaelic football roots? Great to see amother diaspora on board
  6. Dont think Killer will be part of squad which is shame in lots of ways cause the man is such an amazing servant for ireland. Poor Foley just does not seem to have the physical ability for Trap and I think McShane like Keogh may find that Trap is more ruthless when he comes to picking the squad for the championships than for qualifying games where he knows they will never need to play. O Dea and Clark it is so!!
  7. Thanks uVillaboys great under 18 reports
  8. True. Think Clarke has chance to go to Poland if he can nail down a regular spot for us
  9. Good man Kev saw the ireland game where jack scored he was class. If he keeps up the rate of progress hopefully he will be playing for ireland in Rio in 2014 filling Duffers boots!
  10. I saw grealish and graham play for ireland under 15s about 18 months ago. Graham scored 2 and grealish created 4 goals. Graham looked physically stronger and much more powerful than grealish and faster over 10 yards. Grealish looked really light and weak losing out on all physical battles. Grealish had an excellent turn of pace to beat a man and make a yard to cross. Grealishs crossing was sensational. Grealish looked a better more incisive passer and crosser than graham on the day and seemed technically better constantly getting his head up when he received the ball. Graham seemed more direct and combined good skill and trickery with a physical presence to out muscle players which Grealish did not seem capable of. Overall on the day they both seemed excellent players and I was gutted when Graham did not stick with us. On the day I would have said that Graham was the one most likely to play first team football for villa at a young age. You could see Graham been physically able for the premiership and direct in possesion to frighten defences. It was hard to imagine that Grealish and Graham were the same age given how weak and light Grealish was. I would say you could think of graham been similiar to Robben powerful, fast and direct and Grealish been more of a a Silva type back in the day when silva played out wide for valencia. I have seen Grealish a few times since and while he has got taller he is still very weak but is techically super. You need to be exceptional in the premiership if you lack a physical presence but i really think Grealish can do just that. Graham has the advantage of a physical presence that may make elevation to the premiership easier. I wonder what other people like sir Gary think?
  11. Top man Sir Gary. He was outstanding for the irish under 17s in our qualifying group outstanding technique nice change of pace, incisive passing and cracking finish for the goal. Lots of strikes on goal which is nice to see from a winger. He is very light which is understandable. Hopefully he gets run for first team before season over
  12. Jack has scored 2 goals in Irelands under 17 qualification tournament. Deferred coverage is on this link #ireu17 http://www.kaztrk.kz/kaz/online/#go
  13. Good win tonight. Great to see Grealish play well how did he get no peno in second half?. Drennan came on I thought he had left does anyone know the story?
  14. Good man Kev I was at the game today jack played most of second half looked class.Great to see him playing for ireland and playing well. Some real quality attacking players around him. Why would he want to play for anyone other than Ireland certainly looked like he loved the Irish spirit today. Come on Jack villa and Ireland legend.Send on our congratulations to Jack Top man Kev
  15. Great news Kevan that is sensational. Your a topman for keeping us updated. Destined to be a Villa and irish superstar. He will be the star on a super under 17s this season. Its time for green boots I think!!
  16. I see jack was called in to the nordic squad as a late replacement. It will free him up to play for ireland later in augest!
  17. Good man Kevin wish Jack all the best. Im sure he will find that the Irish set up is much more appealing than the english one and will be back where he belongs in the green jersey very soon.
  18. Cheers Kev top man. All the best to jack. Tell him all the Irish fans are still raving about how sensational he was when he played down in Cork a few months ago outrageous talent. He will be part of an outstanding Irish under 17s this season. If he does go to England training (and like all us irish fans I really hope he dosen t) ask him to wear an Ireland jersey that would be a good laugh! The legend Kevin Kilbane once showed up at an England under 16 training session with his Irish jersey on! Jack will be a LEGEND for Ireland we love our wingers. Cant wait to see him in the green this season. Choose with your heart young Grealish been Irish is in the soul.
  19. Thanks Sir gary. i thought he was a year younger than graham which would mean for international football he would still be eligible for under 16 football thanks for clearing that up.
  20. Thanks man. Maybe he is on standby. is there an under 16 game maybe that was what he was called up to.
  21. Hi Kev. I heard jack was called up for england under 17s in the nordic cup is that true? My irish sources tell me he will be called up for ireland for under 17 games in Augest. Who willhe choose? What a smashing player he is wonderful
  22. Great to see him doing so well. Kev I think all us irish villa fans are delighted to see Jack play for ireland underage he has been getting great reports over here. Next season he will be part of an excellent under 17 group who will have a great chance of qualifying for the europeans. Might even get chance with the under 19s with his talent. We love our irish wingers and we look forward to Jack stepping in to damian duffs boots for the senior irish team soon, Best of luck to him in his career
