Delighted with that. Didn't fancy our chances against Arsenal and I couldn't have handled losing to a lower league team again in a semi final. Liverpool is more than winnable.

Indeed it was, as was the behaviour of Villa fans on the concourse/toilets at the sty equal to or worse than Baggies fans behaviour, bunch of pissed up clearings in the woods in all cases! I also remember a bunch of our knobhead fans destroying toilets at the valley parade after the league cup semi final first leg. Every team has idiots.

I'm still coming down from Saturday. The game was a one off in terms of pure atmosphere. Everybody was just totally wired. Doubt we'll see a derby played on a Saturday evening for the foreseeable future.

I don't think the premature pitch invasion was a contrived attempt to be scumbags. I think a few people thought they heard the final whistle and the rest followed. It was irritating to watch but they don't deserve 'life bans' or any of that guff.

This. It's ridiculous. There has been literally dozens of pitch invasions in the last ten years. Why is this one being treated as a cataclysmic event?

Just caught up with the BBC highlights, the commentators really need to get over themselves. If that was Bradford fans invading the pitch they would be talking about the 'magic of the cup'. Pathetic hyperbole.
