Agree with most comments, with a very up and down season ahead of us. However I think PL will give us a good home record and go for it away from home. If we beat the Baggies then I think we will win more than we lose....a bit of a change from the last 2 seasons.

Agree Pilch..Team Selection definitely played a part today. Baker is a far better fit in the back with Vlaar, Lichaj should have been left back. Bannan and Fonz will never make it so should be no more than bench warmers. I hope Lambert isn't going to be left out to dry because no Manager could take this lot on and finish anywhere higher than the bottom 6.

Left the North Stand today shaking hands with as many folks in my row as I could. None have yet renewed including 2 lovely old dears who said they won't renew while he's still here. I concurred the same won't be back then driving home heard on WM his interview. He's a man whose convinced he will still be here next season. Spot on Villa Alex, Marc Albrighton ain't gonna make it at this level. His crossing was nothing short of calamitous and he failed to take on or beat a single defender. The substitutions were too late and Bannan should have come on for Albrighton. Heskey did nothing special but was ok. The sad tale of our season.

5 attempted crosses including 2 on breakaways and fluffed them all. Worst right back we've had at the club. If McLeish stays he's a cert to keep his spot. Appy Harry don't get rid of good players.....Jenas, Hutton, need I say more?

Agree with Foreva, dread who he will bring in during the Summer. I can't see names from Europe coming as they would with Houllier, I'm having nightmares we will become Aston Rangers.

To me Bannan would need a bit of a cruncher in midfield which would allow him time to ping the ball about. Never gonna get the chance with 45 minute Petrov. Herd and Gardner is the set up for me plus a Roy Keane type of signing.

Today it was more than clear Petrov is now at best a 45 minute player, Albrighton ain't gonna make a regular first team player. Herd was outstanding covering Petrov's failures. Hutton actually improved as the game went on. The problem is drive from midfield a quality midfielder playing with Ireland will move this club forward, while at this moment its stagnating.. 30k Villa Fans would have booed today, he got a lucky break, we didn't.... he'll still be here next season.

Spoke to a few lads who booed, most I can tell you is through sheer frustration that McLeish continues to play one of the worst full backs ever to wear a Claret and Blue shirt. For me I still think a lot is aimed at the Manager who shows a worryingly common trait as MON....Obstinance!

I'd like Lambert in, but with these players he would struggle. The clearout must begin with a massive cash injection because we have a Championship back four and a tired midfield. Show us the cash Randy or I'm afraid you and McLeish will be history.

Its the rebuilding of the team thats worrying me we. Whoever is the Manager his problem will be the size of clearout. We need Warnock.Dunne,Collins and Hutton out at the back, Petrov is finished, Clarke can't play midfield. That's 6 positions for starters. AM or whoever ain't gonna get bick bucks for those players, so unless there's a big cash injection we are in trouble. If the likelihood season tickets will be down next year then the cash injection needs to be made earlier. With no deals in this window likely for the first time this season I'm worried for the future.

Not anti Warnock, just seems to me he's useless. Swanse's Dyer had him on the floor regularly, tonight awful and would like someone to tell me his last good game. Better out there and I'd rather see the new kid blooded asap.

Hate to say this but last season for me with this clown in charge. I decided to continue with my season ticket after a call from Customer Services. What worries me is that we seem to be fearful of our opponents and for me a lot of of people wanted the likes of Albrighton,Bannan and Herd in the sqad but the kids seem to be being held back. This has got to be down to the tactics of the Manager. How many of our midfielders broke into their half during the game? Petrov came on and looked disillusioned. A guy in front of me said..." I didn't want Houllier, but I can see now where he was coming from". Agreed he would have got rid of Warnock,Collins,Petrov and would never have bought Hutton or got Jenas. No, for me last season or a new Manager.
