I feel for Luton they always play well for 45-60 mins but don't have the squad to freshen things up.

Damn Hashioka on for Luton. Whenever I've seen him he's been dreadful defending.

McGinn has always had poor games against Wolves tbh. Not sure why but as it's a bit of a Derby he always had a rush of blood and always playing on the edge. Probably will still miss him, but still have faith in our midfield.

Just noticed Lille don't play in between their games with us and therefore can concentrate their preparation on the second leg in France. We have Arsenal away in between. Going to be a tough schedule, which again highlights need to get points on board today.

Yep agreed, I think although we want to win every game. Given the suspensions, injuries and schedule that was a solid point.

I could only catch the game 60 mins onwards and thought he really helped drive us forward. How was he before that?

Watkins is the better all round player at this point. But Benteke definitely had the X Factor to win games out of nothing which I don't think Ollie totally possesses all the time. For this team I'd 100% have Ollie but for a team without Emery structure I'd have prime Benteke.

Van Der Ven looks a phenomenal defender I have to say. Saying that, with their high line like us he's going to keep getting hamstring injuries.

I think obviously Unai would have wanted a win today but I think it played out pretty much how he'd have liked it to.

Poor positioning of players holding line in some of clips, not staying inline with Pau. Been discussed a lot I think but it's always the responsibility of other defenders to stay in line with player closest to the ball. High line higher than he'd like at times. Likes Moreno to be a winger almost to stretch teams.

Posted in Emery thread but also here, very insightful especially how he mentioned Emery has made him study Manu Trigueros of Villarreal inside out, in particular how he attempts through balls.
