Shame, big part in our first goal Vs Arsenal as well, especially with him winning the header.

Their downfall is very reminiscent of ours 10 years ago. If they survive they should be very wary of a Sherwood/Garde season.

He has way exceeded any expectations I've had of him. To come in and stake a place in the team so quickly after barely playing even a full season in the Championship is so impressive. Unai seems to have massive faith in him.

Immense player. Where's that mug of a Leicester fan who kept popping in to tell us they'd sent us (free) a dud.
-
Season over guys... I thought we were told.
Unai is a god.

Not bad so far.
As known Arsenal are an extremely good side, strong in possession, powerful and can whip in a wicked corner. When they struggle it's due to a lack of a goal scorer, today this has shown to be the case as we've rode our luck at times.
Carlos has been excellent, he was MOTM in the home game and has continued on from there.
Rogers particularly and Zaniolo at times have done well on the transition.
Pau, Digne and Konsa are struggling but it's difficult out there.
I think we will eventually concede probably a set piece but very happy to be 0-0 at half time.

What a surprise we get an early yellow when I've watched all sorts of challenges get unpunished in other games.
-
Fulham 2-0, West Ham blowing their chance to catch us in 5th
-
Fairytale stuff
Pleased for their fans though.

Kingsley Coman got injured today, so he and Gnabry will be out of the second leg vs Arsenal. Both played well in the first leg.
Also no Alphonso Davies.
That's if we have to settle for 5th

United 95th min winner incoming, and a certain poster posting how they're going to catch us.

Win tomorrow and mathematically we can then relax that Wolves, Bournemouth and Brighton can't catch us.

I think on balance now he called the Spurs game wrong. Of course we were coming off the back of a Europa game but went very defensive first half whereas likes of Fulham and Newcastle attacked Spurs from the off and both won very comfortably in the end.
Agreed one of the few mistakes.
Spurs start slow, we let them settle and then they hit us at their strongest after half time and we were so leggy and fatigued. After the first there was no coming back for us.
Not sure how we approach tomorrow. Again feel we will be leggy in the second half but against Arsenal we might be better to sit in. But then we need to be wary of set pieces where they're highly likely to score from.

Leeds lose.
Ipswich draw (tougher game).
Noone wants to come up.
Southampton 99th min winner to stay in touch.
Ipswich 89 PTS (43 played)
Leicester 88 PTS (42 played)
Leeds 87 PTS (43 played)
Southampton 81 PTS (41 played)
Southampton have Leeds and Leicester both away in the run in.
Going to be some finish...

Van Der Ven is a great defender but was funny seeing him fall on his arse.

He found it!!

lol this ref crazy. both maddison and burn should have got yellows
At least he was consistent but yeah both yellows.
-
Another piece of poor refereeing. Maddison makes no attempt to play the ball, blocks the counter but avoids a yellow.

But what can he do? The squad is tired and depleted. To get this far is amazing. Truly impressive for any manager. Chance off top four European trophy with a full first team out. How!? Just how!?
The man is a genius.
He is, if anyone can do it, it's Unai.

Next week is going to do tough. We need to be a whole lot better than we were tonight.
We won, great. But we look so disjointed with the injuries and so tired. We now have a tough game Vs Arsenal and Lille get a week's rest.
France will be intimidating, I fear for us to be honest.

Christ there's a big gaping whole in front of our defence. Not sure what we do, maybe bring on Tim. They'll score eventually.
Rogers excellent bar the pass. Emi best in the world. Tielemans and Watkins playing well too.
-
Rogers is making so many excellent decisions. So impressed.

Kind of sad really. Regardless of what was thought of his ability before, the injury clearly has ruined him.
